Excellent night!

First of all, you can't beat the view from this restaurant. It is on a hill overlooking the Pacific. The restaurant is extremely attractive and the staff are very attentive. Our food was absolutely delicious. Lots to choose from from the menu. We really had a very excellent dinner here.

Ate here a couple of times because it was the restaurant associated with Los Altos, where we were staying. Just average food. Just average service in the evening. Convenient for guests at Los Altos, but there are so many restaurants in the area there's no need to settle for average.

My family and I are staying at Los Altos Resort (day #2). We started with our breakfast at Karolas on the patio, overlooking the pool. Our amazing servers, Jorge and Juilio, were gracious to point out an amazing momma sloth and baby and several iquanas just off the deck area. Food was very great! Tonight we decided to have dinner... We are staying at Los Altos and on our second night decided to try Karolas which is attached to the hotel/condo facility. It's open air seating in a lovely setting. The waiter was exceptional - greeted us in Spanish but is fully fluent in English. He was there when you needed him, wasn't when you didn't. He offered suggestions, created... More

I give Karolas a terrible rating for deceptive advertising. We saw an ad "2 for 1 drinks happy hour from 4PM - 7PM", beer and cocktails. We decided to have a drink and the Tuna tartare just to check it out. We specified Grey Goose vodka for our drinks. The Tuna tartare took so long we ended up having three... More

This place has to be one of the loveliest restaurants in Costa Rica. It's in the open, surrounded by lush foliage, with a wonderful view of the ocean. The food was delicious (we had a great pasta and salad) and the service was terrific. I can't wait to go back.

We were a group of 19 in need of a reasonable place and price for lunch after a steamy morning in Manuel Antonio National Park and we found much more at Karolas. Our tour guide negtiated a special Lunch deal for our group. CASADO is a very traditional lunch with rice, beans, plantains, salad and fish, pork, chicken or beef.... More

Our family of five decided to try this restaurant because we were staying at Los Altos. We received our food over an hour and a half after ordering; we only got our food because I complained to staff about the wait. The fish was overcooked and mediocre at best. Two other couples sitting near us also were disgusted with the... More
