Every restaurant in Manuel Antonio is a bit on the pricey side. El Mirador was the only one we felt was worth every penny. The freshest local fruits and produce, fresh seafood and combinations of favors you would expect from the best executive chef's found stateside, including a mushroom risotto that was bar none. Combine the wonderful food with outstanding,... More

This is the restaurant at Arenas Del Mar Lodge. Since the new chef came last year, the food is much improved. Breakfast is fantastic, many selections of Costa Rica breakfast foods and more traditional. The farmers omelette is my favorite. A fresh selection of local fruits are served as we.. Today the fruit included, papaya, mango, miniature bananas, pineapple and... More

Mirador restaurant, located at the Arenas del Mar Resort, rivals the top-notch restaurants at some of the wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The menu had enough variety to please everyone; some meat choices, some vegetarian dishes and of course, lots of fish and seafood. I couldn’t get enough of their ceviche (sea bass, shrimp). The octopus and pan seared tuna were delicious.... More

The fish was always fresh, delicious and presented beautifully. I was usually too full for desert, but had some anyway. Nothing to complain about at all!

The restaurant is a small nothing with a very limited and lifeless menu which being wildly boastful deserves a 2 rating. The location is totally out of the way and subject to expensive taxi fares.

The drive Down the hill is well worth the steep hill. After you drive down you registrar and a golf cart picks you up and drives you up the hill for a "special treat" Diner in magnificent hotel and restaurant. Service was great, food was extraordinary, drinks was ample and desert was to die for.

Ate many a meals here during our stay at Arenas del Mar. Food was fantastic and service top end. Ate dinner on the beach on Christmas Day. Half way through dinner it started to rain. In less than 15 minutes, the staff moved all tables and reseated 30 people on the fly in to the covered bar area and still... More

If you are staying in or near Manuel Antonio make plans to eat here at least once. The food here is exquisite, creative, and prepared with equal attention to sustainability without being fussy. It's five-star service and five-star food, and considering that we live in northern California, a food-focused area, that is saying something. The view (mirador) over the island-studded... More

We loved the batidos and the salads, everything was really fresh, However, it's quite expensive for what you get, but this is the problem everywhere in Manuel Antonio. We're lucky we had a kitchen in the apartment we rented, so we could eat in.

After spending two lovely weeks in CR traveling all around, we've had the opportunity to sample food at many different restaurants. This was by far the best dinning experience of our trip. From the moment we were whisked up the hill from the parking lot to the restaurant, the staff was absolutely top notch in how they treated us. Luis,... More
