We loved the plane and the views of this restaurant. My son could have hung out in the cockpit of the airplane for hours! The food was good and the staff was very friendly. Stunning views overlooking the Pacific at sunset.

We ate here twice during our week-long stay in Manuel Antonio. Truly enjoyed the local seafood. The staff was friendly and the food is very reasonably priced. Open-air restaurant, overlooks the ocean and beautiful greenery.

The food is very very average but the view is outstanding. Also, interesting to see the plane and my boys were able to get into the cockpit and play at the controls. The food is bland, very Americanized although the cocktail I had was really strong!

We had a large group dinner at El Avion, and everything went so well! Good food and super service! And what a history lesson!

The food here was so delicious! We heard from a lot of locals this place was expensive but we didnt find it to be bad at all - comparable to any dining out in America. The atmosphere was really cool. We went at night so I am not sure the view from inside, but it looked to be forest from... More

Congratulations to Kenny and his staff. We have got to say what an improvement. This use to be and I say use to one of the restaurants we would always go to but the service and food had gone downhill to a point we told folks to stay away. We were visiting Quepos with guests and wanted to show them... More

We went to El Avion for dinner one night. Entrees range from 5400 colones and up (around $10). Large proportions, but not a lot of flavor. We went for dinner there to also watch lightening storm. Service was excellent. Go early to get a good seat and have a few drinks before dinner.

For those who think the food is expensive it's because your paying for the awesome view and unique experience. That said I think it was worth... More

If you find yourself in Manuel Antonio be sure to pop into El Avion restaurant and bar. The food is very worthy but the view is priceless! The bar is a real plane that has a unique history dating back from the 1980's, you should take some time to read the history. El Avion is part museum, part restaurant and... More

This was a really cool place to eat with an excellent view. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't mind-blowing delicious either. I would say this restaurant is more about the atmosphere than the food.
