Surprise first night in Manuel Antonio

Not our favorite restaurant in Quepos, but they do serve a tasty steak sandwich. Some of the seating area is covered and some is open to the elements; beware. And the service was weak.

My husband and 2 daughters and I had a great time at Barba Roja on our last night in Quepos. The food was great and the ambiance was lovely. We got to see a beautiful sunset together. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. No complaints at all!

Very big portions, the food was just ok ( too many styles mixed on a plate, too much sauce, too much everything...), good quality-price relation.

We liked this place so much we ate here two days in a row! Really good food and a beautiful view! Has a nice little gift shop on site too.

The food was great, the view is amazing and the owner is American. The portions are big and there's a mixture of local and American flair in the cuisine. Fun atmosphere and very casual. A good place to go and enjoy yourself.

Definitely a good place to pop in for a meal. Most people will point you in the direction of something like El Avion nearby, but even people we talked to said that El Avion was a little "gimmicky". Barba Roja is what it is - a place with good food, craft beer (a good 6 options beyond the Pilsen/Imperial choices)... More

We loved Barba Roja. We went for Happy Hour one night and dinner on another night, and both meals were great. The drinks were also very good and reasonably priced. We were traveling with teenagers and they loved the hamburgers and the French fries. Of course the seafood dishes were also fantastic. It helps that view is absolutely spectacular!

We really enjoyed our meal here. The portions were really large and the food was good - we particularly enjoyed the chicken. We also really enjoyed the mandarin lime pie - was actually better than the mud slide! It's worth mentioning that the menu was different in the restaurant than what it was online. The service was good and he... More

Very friendly staff are here to greet you and serve you from an extensive menu of large portions of good food. The sushi rolls are particularly good. Prices are comparable with the other restaurants in the area. PS visited 2 nights running such was the enthusiasm of my 2 adult kids.
