Great Lunch

We were looking for a place to have lunch, read about this place in the information at our villa and decided to try it. We are certainly glad we did. Half-way up the hill we were a little skeptical but the road suddenly flattened out and it was fine. The views are awesome, valley on one side... read more

We go to Ronny's Place every time we are in Costa Rica and had the pleasure of bringing friends with us this time. They loved it as much as us and recommended to every tourist they met in CR. You can't beat the sunset, sangria and atmosphere! The seafood platter is the best there is. Many wonderful, romantic evenings had... More

Worth the trek off the paved road--a great view that would be incredible at sunset. We had chips with guacamole and pico de gallo--great--washed it down with a pitcher of sangria--good, but maybe not exactly the best of the best--and ate chicken sandwiches--perfectly good. Prices were reasonable and service excellent. We would return when we come back to MA, but... More

They boast the best sangria in Costa Rica and I have to say they are pretty darn good. Enjoyed the entire meal and the very attentive servers. My only complaint is the location if you are walking there; up and around a dirt road, 800 m from the main road BUT that first glass of sangria helped me get over... More

Take the precipitous road ( in bad weather use a 4 by4 ) and enjoy the views. Above the humidity line with cool breezes. Good food and friendly service.

Food and drinks were expensive for the quality of the food that we received. Food was not tasteful at all and lacked flavor. Views were beautiful, we suggest just going for drinks and enjoy the sunset. The pina colada was delicious and the sangria was just okay. Drive there or set up a time with a cab to pick you... More

We too ate here because our hotel recommended it. I don't mind paying $25 for an entree' IF its worth it. I ordered the coconut shrimp, which needed salt. It came with 4 jumbo shrimp and a scoop of beans and rice - again, for $25! Not worth it, came back to the hotel hungry - save your money and... More

Tried Ronny's place after referral from hotel. Great location on hilltop overlooking ocean. Surrounded by active ranch. Great spot for sunsets but unfortunately it rained ( our first rainfall in 5 days) . Good service. Fair prices. Good food. Certainly not remarkable but not disappointing either. Very nice breeze that made for comfortable dining.

i am so glad I found this place. The whole experience makes it memorable. It's off the beaten path on a bumpy, dirt road. The road makes you wonder where you are headed and then around the turn, Ronnys appears. An open air restaurant with plenty of seats facing the ocean and the spectacular sunsets. Pitcher of Sangria and an... More
