Mary's gets great marks in the big two -- great food and very good service. It's as much a local's hang-out as a tourist draw. That's always a good sign. As other reviewers have noted, it's not a "cheap eats" kind of place, but it's certainly not pricey either. We had large portions of great food at a reasonable price.... More

Recommended by the surfing staff, this was a wonderful place to dine. In the middle of the jungle with a homey touch. Decent service but the food stood out. Everyone was happy with their meal (10 of us). Great appetizers and drinks. Agree......Go Here!

Wow. Foodie heaven right in Malpais village. Just incredible food, with daily changing specials and profoundly local. Charming service. So good that we came twice in four days. GO HERE.

Mary's is a restaurnt adjacent to an orgnaic farm. The only restaurant we went to in the area where the veggies were abundant and well ( not over!) cooked. The fish ( yellowtail tuna) was also excellent.

Not a budget meal, but worth every penny! I highly recommend this restaurant that features locally organic grown vegetables and greens.

As my Grandmother (a tasteful fine dining food connoisseur) used to say when she found a restaurant she loved, of which there were not many, "Lets eat our way through the whole menu." That is how I feel about Marys my favorite restaurant in all of Costa Rica. The food: Lets start here... Ingredients don't get any fresher, most of... More

Cool looking place with some pool tables - good atmosphere. Came during green season. Initially greeted at door with smiling/warm person.... took along time for someone to take our order and FOREVER to get our food. My daughter who is gluten free(no gluten free pizza available that night) ordered chips plain with just chicken and cheese. Waitress did not know... More
