We stopped in for some coffee and ham and cheese sandwiches to go. We ended up getting a bag full of pastries as well including the most delicious raisin filled cinnamon buns I have ever tasted!

My first impression was that the bakery had a fair quantity of items for sale. The quality looked good so I decided to go ahead and ordered a guaba budin and a coffee along with a vegetarian sandwich which I was told to be made with vegetables and pesto. So I had my coffee and the pastry, the quality was... More

Costa Rica is not known for great bread or pastries. The owners of Panaderia Artesanal are an Argentine-French couple, and their chocolate croissants are simply wonderful. We also bought a loaf of their multigrain bread, which was also quite good. And raisin-oatmeal cookies ... I don't think you could go wrong with anything you might get there, but the chocolate... Food is good, staff is nice, prices are low, baked goods are a treat. We got sandwiches here, which were HUGE!!! We stopped here on our way of of town as well for some breakfast sandwiches to go. Did not disappoint. My only complaint is that it wasn't physically possible to try all of their baked goods.

Breakfast was average, some English problems, but overall not bad and cheap. Delicious chocolate chip cookies.

We ate here three times! Great Pastries and coffee! They were open early in the morning so it was nice to go before the town got busy. We would bring back Pastries to our hotel room to enjoy for later in the day.

Fresh baked goodies, cookies, bagels and bread plus delicious strong coffee on the north end of Jaco make this a must DO. Super friendly staff along with LOW prices makes this the place to start everyday in Jaco.

For vegetarians looking for decent variety, excellent food quality and very reasonable prices, this place is hard to beat. The owners offer great service as well. They close at 6 so mainly for breakfast and lunch. The portions are huge so be prepared to share
