We tried to have a meal there before going on tour and they did not want to serve us what we wanted to eat. They where sadistic, took extra long time to serve us and brought the wrong plates. The food looked terrible. This happened around 11AM,hopefully the manager has a chance to correct the problem !
We stopped for a mojito and must say that it was one of the best ever. We Also stopped on a Friday night and there was karaoke. It started to rain and we ran for cover. Nobody pressured us to buy any drinks and let us hang out. They have a generator so we were not in the dark for... More
This is a nice bar next to Bahia Encantada. The servers there are nice and some speak english. The prices are a little inflated due to it being on the beach and the food was ok. Had the special burger and the bacon was overcooked. The bar scene is cool at night and they close early Mon-Wed.
I was very surprised this year to see how much the service has really went down at clarita's this year. My husband and I have came for 3 years and have stayed here each time for a few days. It took forever to get a beer and then when we did it was warm. I asked the waitress if they... More

The wings are delicious and worth the $11-12 they cost. Big serving and well seasoned. Enjoy with crisp fries. We also enjoyed the pizza and I had the typical Costa Rican fish plate for dinner one night and that was good too. Breakfast is hit or miss. Spent a day touring around Jaco, and stopped here for lunch! Great food, but slow service. Good atmosphere. If you don't expect speedy customer service, this is a good place.
My wife and I went to Clarita's. I had the red Snapper which was excellent and my wife had the Pizza was very good as well. Nice place at the extreme north end of jaco. Cost about $1,000 colones $2 US to get there by taxi. nice view of the beach and pretty good atmosphere.
Clarita's is still the place to go for a burger or some local fare. Their prices have also gone up, but not like the restaurants in town. The service is fast and efficient and the portions ample. You can spend some time ion the beach and have food and drink a few steps away.
