Best restaurant in Tortuguero. Very tasty. The service was friendly, and good. It was busy and we were told that it may take some time to prepare our dinner. Honesty is the best policy. And not only was it appreciated; it was also well worth the wait. We will gladly visit again.

Wild Ginger was so good in August I recommended it to 10 others in October. It did not disappoint despite the lack of fresh daily fish. Seems the fishermen know it's the slow season and they preferred partying to catching. Jorge was his usual friendly self keeping a smiling face while busily tending to 3 large tables. He and his... My wife and my parents had a meal at Wild Ginger and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. By far the best meal we had in Tortuguero and considering the setting as well, one of the best meals I've ever had. The menu was interesting with a variety of inventive choices to choose from, the food itself was cooked perfectly with love... More

Location a little bit out of town, which i like because it is quiet. Hard to find? Not really. The service was very good and friendly, unlike many 'mainstream' CR restaurants. Good cocktails, but most important: creative, original and delicious cooking. Yes, prices are higher than in the main street hamburger joint. Who cares, it's totally worth it, Wild Ginger... More

Even if it was a little over our budget we came here a second time. The choice of the food offered and the quality were both excellent. And the owner is always there for a little chitchat.

Wild Ginger, owned and operated by Jorge and Jennifer, is a real treat. I have eaten there several times and found the food excellent on all occasions. The intriguing mural on the back wall, which was painted for them by a friend, enhances the upbeat artistic ambiance. Jorge is friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to. Jennifer is usually in... More

Yes this restaurant is not in the center of the village, but it's an easy place to get to and you can take the path or walk on the beach. Jennifer and Jorge (hope I got the spelling right) are wonderful hosts, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere casual in a good California/Caribbean way! While we were perusing... This restaurant is slightly off the beaten path, but we are so happy we decided to go. The waiter was excellent and super informative. Although the food is of fine dining quality, the atmosphere is very relaxed, which we loved! Living in Chicago, we have easy access to some of the world's best restaurants, so we were very surprised to... More

My boyfriend and I were fortunate enough to visit this place twice, once for lunch and then the following day for dinner. The service is outstanding, you really feel that your needs are important... London restaurants could learn a thing or two from this family run business. The daiquiris were superb and food outstanding. I was actually excited about returning... More

We spend two nights in Tortuguero and after having had dinner at Wild Ginger the first night, we had no doubt to go back there the second night! I always like it when people try to do something different then what already exists and go beyond the standard easy money from tourism menus! Wild ginger is a bit off the... More
