Excellent food. I recommend the Jerk Chicken with coconut rice and beans! It's the best I have ever had. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it as I type this. The mackerel fish is also excellent. I've had the veggie meal too, also very good - comes with avocado, cheese, veggies, rice and beans.

Miss Junie's was a little hard to find--go all the way to the wooden gate and inside the grounds--but well worth the search. The Caribbean gallo pinto was outstanding--amazing hint of coconut. The chicken was wonderful as well!

My husband and I stayed at Miss Junie's hotel for 3 nights and ate dinner at the restaurant one night. We had jerk chicken with coconut red beans and rice, other sides and wine and beer. The jerk chicken was good! Generous portions. Local flavor. They accommodated my gluten intolerance concerns well (showed the waiter my Spanish language restaurant card).... More

My wife and I just ate here. She had a veggie dish and I had a salad. The prices are comparable to many places in tortuguero. It was clean and you can see into the kitchen before you enter the restaurant.

Every dish was super salty and both our foodie kids could not finish there meals and one felt sick... More

The food was very nice but we waited for over an hour to get it - which was challenging with a hungry & tired child. The prices were on the high side and the plates aren't huge. If you're not in a hurry or very hungry, I recommend it.

I went to have breakfast there, and was told that the restaurant was only for people staying at the hotel.

4 ppl dinning. Chewy steak, slow cooked chicken stuck to bone, vegetarian light for main course. 1 beer out of 4 available. Cocktail was orange juice. Over priced!!! Terrible food!!! The worse meal we've had in Costa Rica!
