Out of the way Mediterranean oasis!

We stopped at this little, hard to spot restaurant during our bike ride from Puerto Viejo to Manzanillo and we were so happy we did. Yes we were starving after 4 hours of rain drenched river and ocean kayaking in Punta Uva but the the made from scratch Middle Eastern food we had at Pita Bonita was as good as any I have had anywhere, all over the U.S. Every dish was delicious. And, be sure to try their refreshing Mint Lemonade.

Our dinner at Pita Bonita was great. Love the atmosphere. Owner is very friendly and makes you feel like you are family. I ordered the chicken sharwarma dinner and my wife got the falafel plate. Both of these entrees were great. Had to take some home for later in the week. We also had a dinner salad which was good... More

The food here was amazing, the servings were huge and the price was very reasonable. Friendly, comfortable atmosphere. I would highly recommend Pita Bonita to anyone staying in the area!

The food at Pita Bonita was my favorite meal from our trip to the East Coast of Costa Rica. The pita bread is fresh baked. It is the best pita I have ever had. I wish I could have eaten there everyday. The service was also very helpful and friendly.

Our group of five stopped at pita Bonita after a recommendation from a relative. It was definitely worth it. I had the hummus plate which was very filling and delicious. The others in our group had falafel pitas and kebob pitas. All were excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. The mint lemonade was a refreshing change and worth a try.... More

As we cycled north to Cocles from Manzanillo, the outside menu advertising this place caught our eye. Not only is this food extremely delicious but the portions are large. Both make up for the high prices for food in this area. While my husband and I finished off all on our plates (falafel plate and lamb Laban in a pita)... More

The portions are huge! Plan to order 1 entrée for every 2 or 3 people and a couple of sides. The spicy sauce was one of a kind and not to be missed. The eggplant was wonderful. The salads fresh and good. The hummus portion was enough for several people and a falafel plate comes with at least 6 portions... More
