Our favorite breakfast and lunch spot. Great coffee, friendly service, and good simple food with quality you could count on.

During our first vacation as a couple we wanted to try everything that represented this beautiful country. The first, second and third stop on our list was a local favorite that the towns people and travelers alike rave over 'Bread & Chocolate'. Please do not let the name fool you because though this place serves a mean chocolate dessert the... More

Well, what a breath of fresh air this place is. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Service is great and fast. Had to wait a little for a table but that is no drama at all. And when the food is good, it really isn't a problem. Atmosphere is very nice, always busy, but still very chilled out feel to... More

We loved this cafe---myself, husband and three boys. While visiting Puerto Viejo, be sure to stop here for breakfast or lunch. The coffee is great, the juices are fresh and the oatmeal pancakes are to die for!! If you have room left, be sure to sample the brownies. We went back to the cafe for a second time, it was... More

We enjoyed our meal here but found it rather pricey. I had a chicken jerk sandwich on my ongoing quest for a spicy meal. The bread was delicious and although the chicken was tasty, it should have been called a chicken BBQ sandwich. It was rather jerkless. My beau had a breakfast sandwich that he was very happy with. We... More

A friend got the french toast with chocolate sauce and wow it was absolutely exquisite. If I make it back to Puerto Viejo Ill... More

While the menu is a bit more expensive compared to some of the local sodas.. it's worth it. The food is all made from scratch and is to die for. Get either the pancakes or the waffles!!
