Casada with chicken was 5 stars. Plantain with guacamole was very good and very filling. We really loved the guanabana and mango shakes. You must try them! Friendly server. Good prices.

We had a nice lunch here after snorkling and walking through Cahuita National Park. It is an excellent place to try the local Caribbean preparation of fish (we had mackerel-excellent!) and chicken fillet that was fork tender, with coconut and spices. Our portions were huge...and included green salad, macaroni salad, rice/beans, french fries. We had plenty left over for dinner! We also had the friend green plantains with guacamole that was excellent. The staff was very sweet and patient in answering many questions we had about the food preparation, and we appreciated it.More
Seemed like a place for locals. Good food and service. Nothing really stood out to bring me back other than the location. Was very close to my hotel and open everyday. Most places seemed to pick there own hours. Ricky's was open daily and seemed...to be frequented by locals.More
Bad shrimp ceviche, awful margarita started with....didn't stay to eat, was too late to cancel order, ended up take all as a take-out....we'll see what's in the boxes
I do not understand why this place is filled up with tourists when you have other way better places to eat in Cahuita. Had a burger which just tasted straight up bad. The bacon had been switched out with plane ham(?) and the layer of...sauce was so thin you could not tell it was there. The only upside was the salad which seemed fresh, otherwise an expensive and poor experience.More
After days & days of beans, rice, & fish, I was ready for a hamburger, just to mix it up. Reviews here were good & they advertised a burger … so, how does one go about making the worst hamburger ever? Start by pounding out...the very cheap meat into a paper thin patty & cooking it until it is no longer edible. Put a slice of pressed formed ham on it & add a smear of unidentifiable pink sauce. Add some fresh cucumbers & a mostly green hard tomato, & there you have it. I will say the bun was fresh. I have had great hamburgers throughout Costa Rica, so it’s not a Tico thing. My husband had the sea bass in garlic sauce & it was so overcooked he could hardly cut it. We would have liked a second round of beer to wash this all down with, but couldn’t find our server. Won’t go back.More
We ate here for every meal while we stayed in Cahuita! The food is super yummy and the servings are so large we ended up just getting an app and entree to share. The caribbean style shrimp was amazing and we got plantains and guac...each time too. You will not leave hungry!More
A local chap recommended Ricky’s for dinner. We came hungry. The food was quickly prepared and the service welcoming. We ordered pulpo (octopus) in coconut sauce, braised beef, nachos and salad. Everything was delicious.
Wile away an hour or so on Cahuita's main drag with a couple of Imperials and the really very good bar food.
The vegetarian option for the rice and beans was excellent. Ask for a little bit of sauce in the rice... you will not be sorry! The chicken salad was also very good. Portions were very big, no need for appetizers 😂
Nice place, good food We asked for “arroz con camarones good portion, according with the price, $8 fresh food, fresh shrimps.. service good.. not fancy or great place, but very good and according with price and location also .. open place, very appropriate in this...Covid times...More
We ended up eating here twice (second time was because a tour we were on included lunch and this is where they took us) and both times our casados were satisfying. The staff were friendly and we appreciated having Wifi too!
We came here for late lunch/early dinner. Our server was friendly at first. We ordered drinks and food. When food came we ordered another drink. It didn't come. Went to bar and asked again. It didn't come. Asked one more time, no luck. There were...locals there getting plenty of drinks. Maybe they don't like tourists? We like to support local businesses and happy to spend $ and tip on top of service fees but not when we get ignored. Chicken strips and casado was good. Nachos were not great.More
great burgers and drinks. fast service, friendly staff, perfect place to eat and relax after a day in the Natl park
We were a group of 7 that went into Ricky's Place for a bite for lunch and we were all pleasantly surprised as the cost and great food. We all took something different and the food was great the service was great. We had just...finished a tour of the Rain Forest Cahuita National Park, which was epic. The different species that live in this rain forest, the canopy. We walked up the street from the park and this is where our guide recommended us to have a bite.More
