Description: Mambo´s Cafe is a local restaurant influenced by typical costarican food. Gallo Pinto in the morning, Casados in lunch time, and delicious deserts for coffee breaks. Doña Banny (my Mom) is the one in charge of cuisine, taking care of the mom´s best recipes in town. We are located only 1 block away from Intercultura Spanish School. Also, we are fan of our soccer team HEREDIANO.

Nicely appointed dining room. Great casados for lunch. Fixed price gets you one of three entrees and a beverage.

I was in Heredia for almost 4 weeks studying at Intercultura. This restaurant is one block away and I ate here approximately 15 out of 20 days. The "casado" food was delicious every single day and for the price it could not be beaten.

Stumble onto this place while lost in Heredia. It was a good place for a decent cup coffee and to catch up on email. The owner's son, Eric, was very kind and escorted me to a hotel and helped me to negotiate a day rate. I'm sincerely greatful for there hospitality.

Went here upon Tripadvisor recommendation and returned many times for the friendly abuela and delicious food. They introduced us to guanabana, which the kids loved. Every dish was so good, but the Arroz con Palmito was the best! They only serve it once/wk, so if you don't find it, keep coming back until you do.

I had a good, solid chicken casado. It's a good value.
