Food was good, a little salty at times. Small interesting menu items. Unusual location in the little village but busy place.

This restaurant has incredible food and a nice quiet atmosphere. The service was excellent and portion sizes were very generous considering the great prices. after reading the reviews on this site, we went to on Egin. what a disappointment. though the server was lovely, the sangria was good, and we liked the shrimp, the rest of the meal was inedible. the paella, the calamari, the mussels in bechamel were really bad, perhaps the worst food we have ever been served in a restaurant.

In case you are wondering, "On Egin" means "Bon Appetit." in Basque. The owner is from this region in northern Spain, and so is his cooking, which is distinct and delicious. The food is exceptional, the service is very attentive, the view of the town is romantic. Judith and Edito are two of the most pleasent people I have met in some time. They make the creation of delectable morsels seem effortless, as if conjured from thin air! Probably the tastiest stop on this trip to Costa Rica. A complete delight!
