The title says it all. I believe this to be the best Cafe in Tamarindo. We have tried them all and always return to Frank at Labodega. Be sure to check this place out when visiting town.

Wow where to start!!! La Bodega was our staple after surfing stop, food is beyond expectation and price was even better. All organic and homemade you can't ask for anymore than that.. Frank was our unofficial tour guide and genuine nice guy, the staff were so inviting, we will miss them so much. Brownies are a must!!! Thanks again, Franky... More

JAN 30th 2016- We were really excited to eat at La Bodega, after all the great reviews on TripAdvisor, we were expecting something beyond delicious. We had the omelette, the quiche, orange juice and coffee. The omelette was just OK, but a bit overcooked, the mix of flavours of the quiche were just wrong and the texture was too mushy.... More

Inès B, Thanks for your comments and honest feedback. I'm sorry about the omelette. I'll tell my staff about that. The only thing I can think to say about the OJ is that it is really warm in Costa Rica and the ice melts fast. Maybe we can give it to you without ice if you visit us again. People... More

Sometimes a meal is more than a meal, it's an experience, it's a moment in time, it's everything coming together perfectly all at once to transcend the mere act of consuming food. This is one of those places for me. It's not just about the food, it's the entire place and all its moving parts. this is one of those... More

Michael B, Man, I have no idea where to begin. That's such an incredible review. I can't believe you invested so much time and effort in helping a stranger. Obviously, you guys became friends over the course of your stay, but even still...I'm truly humbled. Please come say hello the next time you are in Tamarindo. Pura Vida, Frank B. More

While staying in Tamarindo, I searched TripAdvisor for recommended breakfast spots. La Bodega was ranked #1 at the time of my search, so wanted to check it out. Sure enough, our experience lived up to the rating. My family all ordered breakfast sandwiches made with fresh bread, local organic eggs, and hormone free bacon. The coffee was worth the visit... And amazing iceteas, juices and bananabread. They have a good selektion for breakfast and lunch. On top of that, good service, really good wifi and a breezy patio :) Only downside is that they close at 3pm

We walked by many times as its on a busy road. It was recommended by the people we rented our condo from. We stopped by for lunch and had sandwiches and hibiscus juice. The sandwiches were great and the juice was cold. Just what you need on a hot afternoon. After lunch we got a brownie and banana bread to... More

We ate there for lunch today. They serve breakfast and lunch from 7AM to 3PM. Service is very friendly and fast. Perfect for a quick stop before the beach! We had the lunch special which changes everyday (sandwiches and salads including a fresh juice for 4000 colones). It was a light lunch, perfect for the hot weather of tamarindo! We... More

Stopped there for the 1st time in 3 years. Only one sandwich and one salad on the menu that day - Ahi Tuna. 2 of us ordered both to share each. Normally, I would never order fresh tuna. The sandwich was really good with a great roll, dijon style mustard and other trimmings. The salad was also very good. The... More

Scott T, Thanks for coming back after being away so long. I'm glad you liked the sandwiches. We usually have 2 meat/fish options and on one veggie option everyday. The flies - we all despise them.
