Of course you find the best place on the last day of our vacation! My husband and I were brought in by the 2x1 happy hour all day sign and stayed for the best view and drinks in Tamarindo. We sat at a table close to the beach and enjoyed the BEST Mojitos outside of Cuba!!! Michael was super nice... More

On the beach, next door to our hotel, Mariachi band playing and good food. Can't get any more romantic than this.

Had a late lunch at La Palapa. The view is great. Very relaxing. The atun negro was excellent. Simple preparation and really fresh. Really enjoyed the sangria as well. Great experience.

Walked in and met Michael (waiter extraordinaire) with a smile. Sat on beach and was greeted instantly with a house specialty that included sugar cane rum. Food was excellent!! I had the tenderloin with Gorgonzola which perfectly cooked. Others enjoyed the lobster and Fish and chips. If your in tamarindo stop in an see Michael. I guarantee you won't be... More

What an evening of drinking wine watching the sun set with my family. The food is outstanding and service is above and beyond. We had great seafood here. The kids loved this place. Could roam around on the beach while waiting on food.

The food was seafood was phenomenal, and the service even better. We ate a caprese salad which was deliciously fresh, ceviche that had been caught that day, and a mahi scampi, that was super flavorful. A must-go in Tamarindo if you have the budget for a nice dinner out!

This was the best meal I had on my Tamarindo vacation...And the view wasn't bad either! Everyone in our group enjoyed what they ordered. We started with the shrimp app. My entree was something with Mahi Mahi that was yummy. It was served with rice and beans which is usually not my favorite. I was surprised that I liked it. Our... More

The food was outstanding. It was late in the evening when we were there. I would not recommend eating on the beach. While the view was superior, the little "no seeums" were a tad too much. Otherwise, the experience was delightful.

We only stopped here for drinks while awaiting the shuttle back tothe JW Marriott that leaves from the front of the restaurant. The setting on Tamarindo beach was beautiful and made for a realxing couple of hours of afternoon cocktails. La Palapa provided a nice break from the somewhat cheezy main street of Tamarindo with its numeous hawkers selling whistles... More
