La Palapa is a lovely restaurant to stop at for drinks and a snack, or more, on the beach. Service is very good; drinks are very good; food is fine, and location is great.

Seriously I wish I found this place sooner! Nicholas the manager was great to us, told us about the specials, sauces etc. We have eaten at a lot of places in Tamarindo and this is by far the best place to eat! I had the mahi with a scampi sauce and my husband the fillet. Our friends had the seafood... More

Tables right on the sand. Great staff, great service. One of the more expensive restaurants compared to others in Tamarindo but they speak excellent English and the food was very good.

Great meals right on the beach. We had the fgresh tuna salad nichoise which at about $8 was a bargain. Our grandaughter had the calamari and tempura prawns from the tapas menu which were plentiful and delicious. We were only in Tamarindo for three nights but having had such a good experience on the first night went back from then... More

Really enjoyed our meals and mojitos not to mention the sunset view which was spectacular. The host was very interested in making sure we were satisfied with our food and service. I would also like to mention the tables and general atmosphere of the restaurant. It was so lovely with the linen table clothes right on the beach under the... More

My wife and I ate at the edge of the beach and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I had the excellent beef tenderloin, and my wife had a soggy fish and chips (the chips were good). Stick with the better menu items and you will have a better meal. The Mojito I enjoyed with my meal was also very good -... More

We had a great table right on the beach and just in time to see the beautiful sunset. Then it was time to enjoy their great food! The server recommended the Seafood Platter and we were not disappointed at all, it was great, it was for two, but four people could of eaten. Service was very attentive by all the... More
