Nice beach side dining

We shared some fish and chips that were very good and also a caprese salad, also very good. Good service, recommended by a taxi driver.

This place is very nice, my wife & I had drinks @ night while the tiki post were lit around the beach area. You actually sit on the beach (if you like, also inside sitting available) but we felt great, people were nice, went out of they're way, and very helpful. Great atmosphere, beautiful sunset and the sound of the... More

Staying at Riu Guanacaste all inclusive left us hungry. The ok'd for lunch and the service were unbeatable. This place is a hidden gem right on the beach. Nothing fancy but fabulous food. The small restaurant is right in the sand on the beach. Their ceviche was spectacular.

We ate here our first night. On the beach and has the added bonus of entertainers coming up and down the beach. Of course, we had the fish and both our dishes were excellent.

Our hotel concierge recommended La Palapa to us and it was excellent! I had the spicy blackened tuna and it was the best I've ever had! Service was great, too, except there was a long delay to get our check. I'm not sure if it's every night or not, but when we were there they had a "fire show" on... More

We stumbled across this place our first day in Tamarindo and practically never left! Free beach chairs, friendly people, and fantastic food and drinks. Highly recommend eating here. We sampled half the menu and enjoyed it all! Great ceviche, tuna, curry, etc. Also recommend the blended pina colada! This is also wonderful location to enjoy dinner on the beach and... More

Happy hour drinks and prices are great but service is very slow and the check wasn't right. Took awhile to resolve it. Sunset view is very nice.

Our transportation bus dropped in front of the restaurant. After shopping in the town we decided to have dinner at La Palapa. What a great decision. I had a tuna steak, cooked medium rare, wrapped in a crusted puff pastry served with vegetables and mashed potatoes. My wife had Mahi Mahi with small shrimp also served with mashed potatoes and... Good atmosphere and great for drinks and happy hour. Food is good but I could see how some people think its over priced. I would only order drinks - no food.
