Just recently in Tamarindo, my wife and I were looking for a quick bite outside of our hotel. We randomly stumbled upon Falafel cafe. The food was amazingly fresh and packed with fresh flavor. We even ordered a second hummus to go. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. All in all it was a great place with fabulous food.... More

I recently spent a few days in Tamarindo with a friend who is half Israeli. She was very excited to see there was a falafel bar there so we tried this place on our first day... and then went back the next days because it was that good. Their food is very authentic and incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the... More

Was disappointed in the lack of flavor in our plates. We were 2 familys and all shared the same thought. Drinks were made great, but the food overall was bland. We were let down! Service was good, and the owner was very nice.

We went to this place because the owner gave us a flyer at the beach and we decided to give it a try. The pitas are great, fluffy and delicious. The food was very good, but it doesn't go beyond our favorite place. It seemed to us that it lacked a bit of flavor. This is not a complaint, but... More

It's all in the pita - and these guys bake it in house every day. It's fresh, chewy and delicious. The chicken Schwarma was tender and well seasoned. Coming from New York I don't really have trouble finding decent Mediterranean fare at home. But falafel in tamarindo beats my local go to (don't tell them though ;) do your taste... More

I went here with a friend for lunch. The falafel I had was great and very filling. The restaurant is small inside with only a few tables, but they have a nice outside area with several more tables. The service was fast and very friendly.

I so did not expect to find real, great tasting middle eastern food in Costa Rica. This place was so so good! There are no words. It is cheap but great quality and friendly service. We unfortunately found it on our last day, I wish we'd found it sooner we would've gone a lot more.
