Good people watching spot. Loved watching all the surfers walk by on their way back from the beaches. Super felafels. Moderately priced. Relaxing atmosphere.
We ordered in one day from the Falafel Bar. We all ordered Shawarmas and a few Falafel and hummus for appetizers. The food was really good, but not at all what we expected. The shawarmas were more like curried chicken in a thick, soft, bun like pita. Topped with cabbage and other stuff. I still enjoyed it, but it wasn't... More
My friend and I are currently on vacation in Tamarindo and stumbled upon Falafel Bar. We couldn't be happier. We've eaten there twice so far and plan to go back before we leave. The prices are extremely reasonable, the portions are large, and the service is fantastic. Husband, wife, and teenage son run the place. Speaking with the son after... More
Really good falafel and good service. The owner Said everything was made from the ground, and it really was superb. Me and my friends took falafel-pita
By girlfriends and I ate here when we realized the hotel restaurant we were staying at wasn't very good. The staff was super nice but the food was just ok. I had chicken with humuus and my friends had a chicken shwarma and a gyro. The chicken quality wasn't that great. It was certainly a pleasant change from "typical Costa... More
Stop in for take out or eat in, this place makes fantastic falafel and hummus. I had the falafel plate and my boyfriend had the chicken shawarma .. Our favorite was the falafel. Kind, quick service, reasonable prices and great food- exactly what we were looking for.
It was definitely nice to get some hummus in Costa Rica but other than that the food was kind of lacklustre and pricey. Not very middle eastern, not a lot of spice or flavour and not the biggest portions. You can find better for your money in Tamarindo.
We ate a lot of falafel while we were in Tamarindo - it was just so good! The small salads were great (my favorite was the grilled eggplant). Such friendly owners - be sure to go!
This was by far best value for your money. I loved eating here, get the falafel plate. They have the best pita bread i've ever tried and their morrocan tea is great at night. Also the prices are amazing and so low. Ate 2 huge meals for dinner and only came to $20 american. Also the people are kind and... More
