Eating here again, 2 years later and the food is still great, higher priced but worth it! We really enjoyed the pork tenderloin, and tenderloin filet! Wonderful open air dining!

The Mojitos were great, and the food was simple but fresh and tasty. Not on the main drag, so a little hard to find. Worth the walk!

My wife and I visited the Dragonfly ten years ago, and we went back 2 or 3 times that trip, we loved it. We read some recent reviews that were down on the Dragonfly, and learned that the original owner sold the restaurant. Well, she bought it back a year ago, and it is back to excellence. We went back... More

This was a good find in Tamarino, the seafood was really good. Highly recommend going to this restaurant. Also, the carry a couple of local micro brewed beer, sooooo much better than pilsen or imperial, blah! And the gave us a couple of beers for road! (we only only had to walk a couple blocks back our our room.)

This was the only restaurant we found that had good beer, so we were pretty excited about that! The appetizers were great and the fish I had was awesome. The portions are pretty big for the price you pay. The setting was nice and the service was good.

Visited Dragon Fly bar and grill for dinner, and we were blown away! We hadnt heard much about it, but it is located close to our hotel, and walked over one evening during our trip to Tamarindo. The open air dining is so relaxing, and the staff were so warm and friendly. We started with the tuna tar tar ,... More

6 of us visited Dragon Fly since it had been recommended to us by some locals. It did not disappoint! The food was fresh and delicious! The ahi tuna was perfectly grilled and the seafood pasta rivalled pasta's I have had in Italy. The service was prompt, polite and fun, and the owner added personal touches like a round of... More

Just ask any local to direct you to the Dragon Fly. You won't be sorry. The fusion of Asian and Italian food is very upscale and the unique martinis are skillfully made. Best tuna tartare I've ever had! The Fiery Thai Beef and Zucchini Apple Salad are excellent. We've never had a disappointing meal at this restaurant .

I've been to most of the top restaurants in DC, and several pretty fantastic establishments worldwide. So I don't use the words "the best meal I've ever had" lightly. Especially because I'm a bit of a fish snob. But Chef Giovanni--a 24 year old Tamarindo native, with no formal culinary training, is one to watch. It probably helped that he... More

Great value, exquisite cuisine and ambiance. We had dinner there last night (I had the filet mignon and shrimp, my husband the special - Cuban style smoked pork) We had a couple appetizers (fried plantain with black bean humus, beef empanada's), dessert (tempura ice cream with melon marmalade) a couple drinks each (try the Tica Rica martini) and the bill...
