We ate lunch at Nibbana last week and quite a disappointment- there seemed to be good reviews overall, but we had a bad experience. The food was more than our nice 5 star hotel, and the tuna sandwich seemed hard as a rock and the fish seemed as if it had been pre-cooked, refrigerated and then reheated- the server didn't... More

There are lots of restaurants in Tamarindo to choose from, but I think this is one of the best for the combination of food, service and view. We were walking down the street on a Sunday close to lunch time, so decided to give Nibbana a try. We were not disappointed. We had the choice in the covered area near... More

To dark to see food by the beach part of the dining room. Need more lighting. Service & food were good.

Loved the location, the 2 for 1 happy hour drinks, the available bug spray at the bar, and the manager's friendly welcome.

Erick is the best bartender/server, super cool guy, makes killer drinks. The food was really good, steaks were a bit chewy, but the filet was excellent. Nice atmosphere, tables on the beach and in the big bar area.

The filet mignon was like shoe leather and nobody in our party of 9 really enjoyed their dinner. The real ripoff was when the check came. They charged us in dollars and gave us change in colones at a much less than favorable exchange rate. We at retirees living near Tamarindo and plan no more visits to this tourist trap!

Nibbana use to be my favorite place in town when I used to live there, I went recently and still is. I though that I was only going for a couple of Chardonnays during Happy Hour, but our waiter Charlie suggest us to stay for dinner, we are so happy to have stayed. Like I didn't even know what to... I was reluctant to go to this restaurant after seeing an episode of International House Hunters/Costa Rica. However, the staff was great, the view grand (Tamarindo Beach) and the food absolutely delicious!

Nibbana Beach Bar & Restaurant was recommended to us by our shuttle driver from the airport. The lunch food was good (pizza, Arroz con Camerones, Roma Wrap) and the cerveza was cold. The view is fantastic at the tables by the beach, just be prepared for the locals to try to sell you there stuff that probably is made in... More
