Great breakfast!

We had breakfast at Kahiki the morning after we arrived in Tamarindo. Our group of 10 were the only people in the restaurant. Our breakfast was was delicious! Some of us ordered the fruit platter and it couldn't have been any fresher. The only downfall is that it is an open air restaurant (like... read more

Nice atmosphere and great food! We had breakfast here on our first day in Tamarindo and it didn't disappoint. Nice mix of traditional breakfast with some local flair. Our server even gave us an impromptu Spanish lesson. She seemed to be having as much fun as us. Will definitely visit again if we make it back to Tamarindo!!

Great Tapas, nice for a beer on your way home and a good place to watch sports events. Friendly staff, open air and a happy hour!

First off, as an ex-bartender and server I respect the hard work of the TWO staff members. The owner who introduced himself (pompous) sat and drank with his friends while we waited for 2 hours for horrible nachos that were plain and an appetizer missing one of the items and everything was cold. If this place is open when you... More

Worst dining experience of my life. In any country. We were there for 2 hours. Finally received our food and it was terrible, still cold. While we waited for hours, the owner was eating and drinking with his friends. Avoid at all costs. The staff worked hard but the owner was terrible and the place has the worst business practices... We were looking for authentic Costa Rican food and we found this place from the trip advisor app. The food was good and staff very friendly, after our meal we were given shots on the house. I don't remember the name of the shot but we were told it was a Costa Rican shot and it was coconut milk based... More

We walked by this place a dozen times before we finally went in because they had TVs and we were looking for a place to watch the NBA tournament (sharkeys was closed.) They changed the channel to accommodate us and we bellied up to the bar for a few. That is how we met Snookie who makes the best caiphiranias... More

My boyfriend and i were staying at a hostel just down the road from this hidden gem. We had breakfast here after our first nights stay in Tamarindo, and we went back the very next day. I recommend getting "the tucker" with fried eggs, its a breaky bowl. You can add avocado and tomatoes or other veggies for 600Colones each.
