Excited about restaurant based on their website. It was one of the first I went to in Samara. The food and service are sub par.

First off, I have been cooking for 26 years, and ten of those were spent as an Executive Chef. I ate at La Brasas three times during my 8 days in Samara and was thoroughly pleased each time. I had the Paella twice and was blown away. It was tasty, hot, huge and absolutely amazing. The margaritas were honestly the... More

Saw the other reviews and was surprised. Either it's under new management or those other people hit it on the cook's night off. We had great food and great service. Great location on the main street not far from the beach. Would recommend it and will eat there again.

They are doing it ALL wrong. Warm beer, sub par service, poor dishes... We as a group of four agreed that the meal was sub par and there are 10 other places in Samara alone that are 100 times better. What a shame for a place that is in a prime location.

I came here with 3 friends and we all ordered the wrong things. Two of us ordered ravioli that was quite bland, one ordered run-of-the-mill spaghetti bolognese, and the other ordered smoked salmon. None of us were satisfied. A group of 3 near us ordered the paella and it looked and smelled amazing.

The restaurant is centrally located close to the beach and offers seating on two levels. Location is clean, nice wooden furniture. We ate fish. If you like it spicy, you have to try the salsa diable. They do have desserts, but at least the flan de vainilla is not really meeting our expectations. The service was very friendly and attentive.

We wanted to stay upstairs: they told us it was not possible. Our choice wasn't on the menù, they told us only after we ordered the beverages. In the end we ordered a fish fillet, absolutely nothing special and not cheap. The worst thing is we strongly suppose it was not "seabass" as we were told but "pangasius", I know... More

Had dinner here with my family on a weeknight. Husband had the lobster, which was pretty good. Grandpa had steak, which he enjoyed. The kids had simple stuff like ravioli and spaghetti. No complaints. The calamari appetizer was very good. It's a cute place and I think we would have enjoyed ourselves a little more if the service had not... More

We came here with our friends from our hotel. I had the seafood pasta which was delicious. My fiance had the steak with was pretty undercooked. He asked for them to take it back and cook a bit more. They brought it back out and it was still just as pink. He wasn't able to finish it because it was... More

Food was okay. Nothing special and definitely more expensive than other restaurants we ate at in Samara and Playa Carillo. Service was lovely, the usual for Costa Rica. We did not choose to go back other evenings.
