Very good food

We dined here several times over our trip (we were staying across the street). Once we arrived in the afternoon for one of their brownie sundaes (really really good- the brownie is perfectly chewy and the homemade ice cream is sinful) and a beer (although I hope their craft beer distributor gets... read more

The Hideaway looked beautiful, clean, and had eye candy appeal. It had an elegant exterior. I decided to eat dinner there with my husband. The wait staff was friendly and helpful in dining suggestions. I liked the mahi mahi in a creamy avocado sauce. This restaurant was pleasant and away from the commercial strip of Samara.

My husband and I stayed at the home next to the Hideaway Hotel and we stopped there for lunch one day. While the food was good (as were the Mango Margaritas), what made us go back was the service. The server was so friendly and made conversation with us; not just worried about taking our order. The food was prompt.... More

I had the pleasure of eating at the Hideaway Hotel twice during a recent stay. The food is outstanding. The fish is jumping out of the boat fresh, accompanied with excellent coconut and avocado based sauces. But the real star of the show is the cheeseburger. It's quite possibly the best burger I've ever had in my entire life. Seriously...I... More

We reviewed the hotel but if you just decide to eat here the food was very good. The fish in the coconut sauce was awesome.

Amazing service and exceptional food. Doug knows exactly what he is doing and how to run an ice cream machine. We enjoyed the mint chocolate which really put a highlight on a sultry day my favorite however was the filet mignon with Gorgonzola mouthwateringly delicious if we ever go back to Play Samara I am staying at the Hideaway. The... More

With some friends, we stayed here for 7 days. The breakfast was great. I had the Tipico, pancakes, and french toast. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Tile floors and air conditioning are in each room. The bathroom was huge with a tile shower that is huge. Everything was very clean. The pool has a pretty waterfall and the water... More

Great service with attentive staff. Food is also delicious, with American flare since the hotel owners are from the States. Love love love the home-made brownie with home-made ice-cream - the mint & chocolate chips are so minty and fresh; more so than any I've tasted. I also enjoyed the cheeseburger with a mountain of bacon on top, and avocado... More

We live locally to the Hideaway Hotel and restaurant for part of the year. After reading such glowing reviews and good descriptions of the food and deserts we tried to go last night. We arrived at 6:50 pm and were told to look around. When we asked to be seated we were told the restaurant was closed sorry. Since it... More

Monreal, Owner at Hideaway Hotel, responded to this review

We are a small boutique hotel, with a restaurant providing early dinner service. We are open to the public, we do request reservations for dinner and our last seating is 6:45pm. When we have dinner guests, we do stay open later so they may enjoy their evening. We are open throughout the day for lunch. Since we had no reservations... More

We didn't stay at this hotel but had a very nice lunch here out by the pool area. It is owned by an American expat who. Came out to say hello to us which I thought was nice. We had a veg pizza and a hamburger. Good sized portions and both were very tasty! I also had the coconut ice... More
