Very nice restaurant with friendly service and good food on the outskirts of Playa Samara. This place is a little hard to find but worth the effort when you get there. The young French couple that own the restaurant & hotel are very friendly and spend time visiting with diners. The staff were very good, this was the best service... More

Had our last dinner in Samara at the Pacific Lodge Restaurant. The food was as good as others have commented. Small selections of wine by the glass as well as by the bottle. The shrimp dish was beautifully presented and wonderfully tasty. The penne pasta with salmon was delicately flavoured. There were only four items on the chalkboard menu so... More

We loved our meals at this restaurant! We had several fish and meat dishes and were never disappointed. Everything from the salad, meat, rice, potatoes, grilled vegetables and more, were mouth watering.

I am not a big foodie and I rarely remember what I ate at a restaurant, but once in a while a meal just knocks my sox off. That was the case at Samara Pacific Lodge Restaurant. My husband and I went there for dinner. We found the French owner to be warm and gracious. The food presentation was truly... More

As others have said, it's nice to see a place with a short, authentic menu. However, it can be dispiriting if there are no vegetarian options and when you ask they offer pasta or rice with vegetables... We're not veggie but were just looking for a break from so much fish and meat, so ended up having pasta with gorgonzola... More

Had some mediocre meals while in the area. Hint- Costa Rica is not a foodies paradise. The restaurant is small and intimate. Loved the limited selection. Our meals were more than we expected. The service was attentive, but not overly so. Would definitely go back.

We tried eating here 4 times during our stay...breakfast? Nope. Not open. Lunch? Nope. Dinner? Nope. Dinner? Nope. Bummed. Totally wanted to eat there the whole time and the sign out front leads you to believe it is in fact serving food. Not so. We were there at the start of the slow season, so that could have played into... More

Delicious, and worth the stroll down the dirt road to find it. I ended up taking photos of our plates and I’m still trying to figure out how the chef did what she did with that avocado. There are only 3-4 items on the dinner menu each night, but what they do, they do a step above.

We recently had dinner at the Samara Pacific Lodge. The restaurant is located on the outskirts of the Samara village. The meal & service were superb. 3 of us had the tuna entree - & we all agreed it was wonderful. The restaurant has a simple menu with several options written on a chalkboard. All are great options. The chef... More

This is a nice little restaurant with a small but good wine list. They have a rotating daily menu depending on what they get locally. The staff were very helpful and friendly with great service. It was probably the best meal of our stay in Samara. It was also well-priced! For two entrees, a glass of wine and a beer,... More
