Description: Restaurant Estero Azul is located near Flamingo on your way to Potrero...
Restaurant Estero Azul is located near Flamingo on your way to Potrero. Before you turn right at the beach at Restaurant Plemar keep on going straight all way to the back of the road (about 100m). You'll find a fisherman's house with a small eating place next to the beach. Here they'll serve you the catch of the day without paying Flamingo prices. This google search (El Estero Azul Playa Flamingo) has little information but at least lets you know it's legit. GREAT PLACE!

Nice little soda on the beach

We ordered fresh fish and casados, which were very good. Has a very local feel, very tico. It was right on the beach which was a plus, but don't expect an impressive facility. A lot of dogs and chickens running around, I guess you could say it had a lot of local flavor

My husband and I came here for lunch. We never looked at a menu, we knew we wanted casado pescado. I spoke 98% in Spanish to the lady who served us, as I am still practicing my conversational Spanish. She was great, she slowed me down and made sure I said everything correctly! The food was amazing, and now we're... More

A wonderful on the beach under a palapa lunch... The home cooked touch shows in the flavours... with fish a few moments or hours old ! Very local venue at wooden bench tables feeling the surf.

Prices are great. Their typical breakfast is a good way to start your day, and their dinner casa dos and fresh fish dishes are affordable and simply prepared. All right on the beach!

This place had amazing ceviche! I didn't mind the location... but they do have dogs running around and it's kind of a whole in the wall place. Excellent food though!

This little place serves the best red snapper ever! Rustic Outdoor dining on the beach at it's best.

The food here was absolutely Costa Rican and it was delicious. With a cold beer and the view I can't imagine wanting to be anywhere else.

Off by the marina in playa flamingo. Hard to find. Either walk along the beach, or walk down a dirt road to the end. Plain picnic tables. Very good comidas tipicale. Nice friendly service which can be very slow if busy.

If you are walking on the Playa Potrero beach you will want to stop at this little eating establishment right on the edge of the beach. We have eaten here several times and have brought visiting family and friends here and have never had a bad meal. There is quite a menu selection and the cold beers are very reasonable... More

This is anything but an upscale restaurant but the local food is delicious and freshly prepared. The Casadas, typical local dishes, are large portions, wonderfully tasty and inexpensive (about $8.00 CDN + 10% service charge). You can choose from chicken, fish, meat or pork chops. You can't go wrong with any of them. Make sure you get there before sunset... More
