Friendly service and tasty baked items

We visited the Tico bakery a few times while we were Playas del Coco. The staff was always willing to answer questions about the locale and we kept a stash of their baked items for lunches.

Rich coast Diving center brings cinnamon bread from this bakery to their dives and I loved it so much that came back after one of the trips to buy something similar but yet different ... I got bread with cinnamon and apple and would have eaten the whole loaf in one afternoon. I shared it around in the resort and... More

This restaurant was a nice surprise. My husband and daughter each had hamburgers which they thought were very good. I had a salad that I expected would be small but was a good size and very good. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

This was so yummy. We bought fabulous pastries and tortillas. It was so good that we went back 3 times in 1 week. Definitely a highlight of our mornings. The danishes (if you get there early enough) were fabulous. If you are walking, make sure you bring a backpack or bag because sometimes they run out. Go early and get... More

This is the towns best bakery. I go here every few days to get fresh (often warm) bread and pastries. It is located on the main street. There are some table outside to eat your pastries and have a good cup of coffee. If you happen to need a birthday cake or custom made baked item this is the place... More

Stopped in one morning for something to take with me back to the airport. Got a doughnut with white frosting and a ham and cheese sandwich. Both were tasty for just 1600 colones or about $3 US combined. My spanish isn't great but I was able to point out what I wanted easily. Good stuff.

We stopped in twice to grab a quick sweet treat and coffee to go. We had the pound cake which was moist and very tasty. Coffee was good and we felt like it was a very good value.
