Went in with some friends, the ambiance was fun, american/tropical. The service could be better, it could be more efficient. Nonetheless the attitude of the servers was the correct one, always smiling. The food is their strongest card. Fresh, balanced and well presented. I ordered the Gumbo Soup and the New Orleans Shrimp. AMAZING! I spend 6 days in El... More

The restaurant's highlight was shrimp with potatoes and vegetables, and it was super. This restaurant's locatiotion made it even better because it was downtown. The service was amazing making it a very nice overall experience.

In the Papagayo Four Seasons Hotel the guy from the lobby adviced me and my friends to go to Coco town and try this restaurant. I was impressed for it's location right in downtown and they made the best recommendation by the manager: lobster! I've tried several restaurants in the area and I can clearly tell that this was our... More

Excellent! The mix of flavours, the freshness of the ingredients left me wanting to come back for more. I recommend it hardly.

Papagayo's Restaurant in Playa del Coco has a giant octopus out front with the Papagayo Sushi Bar housed in an old boat on site. Three of us had the catch of the day which is usually Mahi Mahi. The interesting part of this daily special was you were able to order from several different preparations of this fish. Example: Garlic... More

During our recent visit to Costa Rica we decided to take a car out for the day and explore a bit. After long day, we headed towards Coco Beach looking to relax and have a great meal. After not being able to find the first place that had been recommended we chose Papagayo Seafood. We recognized it as one of... More

Their marketing is great as they have people on the sidewalk inviting people in for fresh seafood... we were swayed without first checking Trip Advisor, which we normally do. We sat on the sushi side of the restaurant and decided to try a couple of appetizers, so we ordered the ceviche (pescado) and tempura vegetables. I went to take our... More
