This Soda is in a great location downtown near the beach to the left of the Police Station as you are walking towards the beach. Inside seating with a couple of tables outside. Good service and food. The staff was very friendly and our food arrived quickly. Appeared to be patronized by locals and tourists. A 'Casada' (typical Costa Rican... More

Heather from Seabird Sailing Excursions in Coco recommended Jardin Tropical to our party of 7 after we returned from a half-day sail with her crew. The restaurant was a short walk from the dock at the beach and was just what our tired, but happy group needed. The chicken and grilled maji cad ado dishes were terrific and inexpensive. The... More

A young American couple living in Playa del Coco recommended Jardin Tropical located near the beach. The restaurant, without hesitation, accommodated our party of 12 for dinner. The food was delicious, authentic and reasonably priced. Awesome seafood and rice dishes. No reason to travel to Costa Rica and eat at an American styled restaurants.

We enjoyed sitting outside and having lunch at this cute little soda. It is located on the main street in Coco, almost to the beach. We both ordered casado con pescado, fresh fruit shakes (try the mora con leche), & bottles of water. It was inexpensive - definitely under $10 each - and the food was fresh and delicious. One recommendation,... More

This was one of the best meals we had on our trip throughout CR. The food was authentic, delicious, and inexpensive. Our meals came served with a beet/potato/egg salad, a garden salad, plantains, chicken, and of course rice and beans. The servings were big. Great place for an authentic Tico meal.

This is a nice and tasty Costa Rican restaurant, with the local dishes nicely prepared. Prices are OK for the location. You can get a "Casado" (which is the most common type of lunch for local people) for $6, which is a good deal compared with the prices in some other locations. The food feels fresh, and the drinks are... More

Although we love our food next door at Soda Teresita, we really like our food and drinks here at Soda Jardin Tropical, too! The blended drinks are so good! I love my kiwi, watermelon, pineapple ice drinks and my friend love her milk drinks. The food is really yummy too. Very reasonable prices and right on the main strip and... More

This has been my favorite soda (family owned restaurant that serves typical Costa Rican food) since I moved to Playa del Coco five and a half years ago. I prefer this soda over other local eats because they are fast, fresh, consistent, very friendly family owned business, and less expensive. In the mornings the typical Costa Rican breakfast is Gallo... More

This is the second time we have eaten at Jardin Tropical "Typical Food" restaurant in Playas del Coco. It is tucked down a side street right across from the beach and you can dine inside or outside. The first time there we had beef and chicken casados. They were very flavourful and large portion sizes -- plenty of rice and... More
