Good food, OK service

we were a party of 6, and ended up sending back four different dishes after being served: - a white wine - two plates of spaghetti carbonara which was completely inedible due to way too much salt - a dish of crab spaghetti where we had asked to add garlic, which the kitchen had ignored - a plain spaghetti for... We visited here several times over a couple of weeks, as my husband is a big fan of Gelato. While the Gelato is decent, the customer service gets a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. Enjoy it, but don't expect a smile or any friendliness -- even if you speak Spanish.

My wife and I ate dinner at La Dolce Vita and had the Spaghetti Dolce Vita which is the seafood pasta dish on the menu. This dinner was superb and the flavors so fresh. Our server Guillermo was attentive and we enjoyed exchanging stories with him throughout our meal. Guillermo recommended dessert which we shared and OMG was it wonderful.... More

A party of four, we ate here on our last afternoon in Costa Rica. The staff was friendly, but not overwhelming. My husband and I each had a seafood entree and both thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Will plan a night here on each visit we make back to Playas del Coco, Costa Rica!

We ate here as part of a promotion for taking a timeshare tour. We found the service and food good and the outside seating was in a courtyard with other businesses. My wife order the snapper which came with assorted vegetables and mashed potatoes. I had the chicken Parmesan which was good for Costa Rica. My wife portion was so... More

My daughter and I ate here a lot while we stayed in a condo nearbye and the food was all wonderful. I especially enjoyed the fish meals and shrimp. The pizza was thin crust and out of this world. The welcome Punch was the best I've ever had. My daughter and I especially enjoyed the freshly mads guacamole and chips.... More

We had great pasta: fetuccini Alfredo which was a good size portion and great taste, and Pasta with Crab, which was tasty and artfully presented, but I missed the chunks of crab meat. One of us ordered a pizza, which was very tasty and had a nice thin crust. Wine list is fine for Playas del Coco, they have some... More

Food is simply delicious, BEST STEAK in town. Soft fillet minion stakes cooked on a firestone right on your table, accompanied with grilled vegetables, guacamole and of course good red wine. Available also a great selection of typical costarican food and international plates. Recommended!!
