If this place were a little closer to where I live in CR I would be there all the time. What I especially love is that you can get amazing soups and casado (traditional CR dish--try it, it's not scary), but you can also get a really nice panini or sandwich. The feel of this restaurant is half American coffee... More

We stopped here on our way from Liberia Airport toward the beaches. Pleasant on all fronts -- nice place (hammocks outside), kind and attentive (and English-speaking) owners/hosts, a nice selection of menu items, and all tasty. Prices were very reasonable.

Had eaten there several times when I am in Guanacaste. Good food and great coffees. Was there last week and now they have a bigger menu. I had a "sopa negra" (black been soup) and it was very good. Tina, Oscar an all the staff are very friendly.

We had read reviews here and came here for breakfast rather than eating again at El Mangroove. We almost didn't stop as there were no cars (we learned the owner was parked in back). But, are we glad we did. The owner noticed that air in one of our tires was real low. He got out his portable air compressor... More

Great food, great service, great value! We ate breakfast at this place 3 or 4 times during our stay in Costa Rica and we loved it here! They also have free Wi-Fi. The food was scrumptious and the people who own this place and work there are some of the nicest people that we met in Costa Rica. Thank you!... More

Stopped at Café Cristina for breakfast on our way to Lake Arenal for some sightseeing. There was no one here at 9 am so we were a little concerned. Our concerns were completely unwarranted. Everything about our breakfast was outstanding from the food to the service to the prices. Additionally the restaurant(and restrooms) are impeccably cleaned and absolutely spotless. I... More

The food is traditional and De-li-cious! We had arroz con pollo & chicken fajitas... It was so good! Additionally, they have a variety of coffees. The best meal we ate in CR. The owner is very friendly and speaks English if that suits you.

The perfect cafe to have a meal at when headed to or from Liberia airport. Excellent food and service! A breakfast dish on par with some of the best brunch spots in NYC.
