Description: Located at a finca with spectacular views. The ambiance is elegant rustic -- similar to upscale restaurants in Napa Valley, CA. the food is excellent and quite reasonably priced. This eating experience is one of the highlights of my vacation and I will remember it for many years to come. The chef and staff are friendly and they greeted us with a warm welcome. Beauttful restaurant, phenomenal views, great food, and a kind staff--makes for an awesome experience!

The food we had was flavorful and unique. The view was beautiful. However, be prepared to spend a lot of money and time here. We were hoping to stop here for lunch and then go hiking but the service was so slow we only had time to have lunch and then the park was closed. Also, much of the menu... More

This restaurant had been personally recommended and had terrific reviews on Trip Advisor, so I went in with positive expectations. Well, the food was just awful. We started out with lamb that was so tough and had so much gristle I literally couldn't eat it. The rest of the meat was no better. My teenaged boys had pasta, and didn't... More

Talk about an "out of the way" restaurant! You wouldn't just happen upon it. But we asked several locals to recommend a good restaurant and this was on everyone's list. Set a half mile or so from the main road, and way on top of a hill, I'm sure the views would have been awesome, but we were there at... More

Food not as great as the reviews, but good. Setting is amazing. Go before dark - sun sets at ~5:45. Really cool atmosphere you will talk about afterwards. If staying across the street, don't let the concierge tell you to walk. Its straight up and far as hell to walk from the road. We drove and felt sorry for the... More

We ate out every night and overall had many mediocre meals. This was the best meal we had in CR to date. It's a little hard to get there at night given the winding road, but worth the drive as the food was great.

After reading some of the reviews for this restaurant, we were hesitant about the road. As residents of Costa Rica, once en route we laughed that people who live here would recognize the road as a Super Highway! The setting is beautiful! The view of the valley is AWESOME! Our waiter was attentive and our food arrived quickly. I had... More

Yes, most in our group said the food was good. Bread was good and my shrimp salad was fresh and tasty. Here's the problem though.... call me American and impatient but when you've been at the restaurant 2 hours and your main course is just arriving even fantastic food tends to not taste so good. I had the burger and... More

We went for lunch at Benedictu's because we had heard that the views are wonderful. We were around half hour early but the owner was gracious and invited us in anyway. We sat on the deck/porch which looked out over the Arenal area. It also overlooked the grounds of the restaurant where there are cows, horses, sheep, and goats. Hummingbirds... More

Unfortunately, while the food was tasty, the small restaurant was short staffed, and didn't appear to help one another, and so the service was very poor. The wine list was very limited and expensive. While we were there for dinner and it was already dark, I bet that there would be wonderful valley views during lunch.

Beautifully executed "Farm to Table" restaurant. The drive in isn't for the faint of heart but you will be rewarded with excellent food and a fantastic view. It was raining the day we were there but the view was still spectacular. They promote themselves as a "steak house" but have as much or more to offer with other types of... More
