I've been here once before a few years back and remember this place as being very good so I came back recently with my two sisters on a family vacation and sought this place out and it didn't disappoint! This restaurant is outside of La Fortuna going out towards the Arenal National Park so it's out... read more

It was raining cats and dogs and the taxi ride from Tabacon Resort was $5US one way. We were a bit shocked by the primitive open-air hut appearance, there was no décor, and no other eaters, perfect setting for a horror travel tale! But we were determined to try the local cuisine and gave it a chance anyway. We were... More

Me and my wife spent our honeymoon near La Fortuna, Costa Rica. We happened to stop by Cascajo's for dinner on a whim home from the hot springs and we were blown away. Quality cuts of meat cooked to perfection and very generous portions. Sauces were beyond par with excelleny flavors. The service couldn't have been better. Our waiter took... More

My experience at Cascajo's del Arenal was like dining with my family. My husband and I arrived on Thursday, April 9, 2015. We were warmly greeted by Uriel Rojas Perez who made us feel very welcome. He spoke to us in English as neither my husband or I speak Spanish. The owner was at an another table with his brother... More

I just had the best meal of our trip. The food was simply delicious. The waiter was very friendly and helpful with directions too. 100% recommend this place, my only regret is not finding this restaurant earlier in my stay.

We had incredible lunch at Cascajo's del Arenal today! I would highly recommend the ceviche.....everything we had was fresh and delectable! The rice and garlic chicken & the steak and rice plates my children had were delicious. The grilled chicken salad my husband and I had was so fresh - every veggie tasted like it had just been picked from... More

We ate lunch here yesterday. The chicken was huge, 2 pieces of chicken white sauce with mushrooms and a salad on the side. My husband had the Arenal sandwich it was delicious. So good we came here for dinner now. I ordered a hamburger, my husband ordered observatory rice, with chicken, meat and pork. It was great. Highly recommend this... More

I wanted to eat at this restaurant because of the great reviews...they did not disappoint. It is a bit out of the way but was a perfect stop for our evening at Tabacon hot springs. Our waiter was fantastic and funny and the kitty was nice too. :-) We had the garlic chicken and garlic sea bass. Both were amazing!... More

This restaurant is perched above the road on the left as you travel from the dam at Arenal Lake to La Fortuna. We decided to eat there on our last day and are glad we did. It was our favorite meal in the Arenal area.....great menu selection, tasty, fresh-tasting dishes, perfectly seasoned, and a very friendly staff. Definitely worth a... More
