On our third night in Costa Rica we found cascajados on trip advisory and decided to try it. It is very close to hotel Tabacon. It was the best food thus far on our trip. The sea bass was unbelievable. Our waiter Uriel took great care of us and spoke good English. He definitely helped with our experience. I asked... More

Fast, friendly, great food, coffee was excellent, brewed fresh table side, would strongly recommend if near the lakes, hiking or hanging bridges...

The ceviche is one of the best. Prepared from corvina and made with the mandarin lemon (a kind of lime that is common in Costa Rica) plus the aroma of the cilantro, and the tanginess of the onion give it a smooth flavor that is difficult to find elsewhere. Ceviches can be too acidic, but this one is just well... More

Our car broke down right in front of this restaurant and the owner and a waiter could not have been nicer and helped us tremendously. The waiter spoke wonderful English and was able to help navigating the car rental people. We had a great dish of guacamole, chips and beer . The food looked fresh and smelled very good, we... More

Spectacular steaks, fun and friendly waiter, and an owner who made us punch his forearm and belly (both hard as a rock). This place was great. These were some of the best steaks I've ever had. Its a bit more than you generally pay for a meal in Costa Rica (the steaks are $20) - but are the equivalent of... More

We chose this restaurant after reading the reviews. It is an covered, open air restaurant and they specialize in steaks. My husband and I shared two different versions of the specialty. Delicious! It is located near Tabacacon and Baldi. Definitely check it out! Free wi-fi and volcano views.

Best food we have in Arenal. Hilarious waiter - quick service, an all around awesome experience. It doesn't look distinguished, but it most certainly is.

Must eat here! This place is worth the short drive from La Fortuna. You're nestled in a remote area with a pristine view of the volcano. The ceviche was fresh, the guacamole was whipped and the meats were perfectly moist and seasoned!

Of all the places we ate in Costa Rica, this little gem was our absolute favorite. If you are visiting Arenal or La Fortuna, you MUST take the time to eat here. I promise you want be disappointed. It also has free Wifi so you can FaceTime friends in and let them see the volcano.

Eating at the hotels is not your best value, so we were traveling outside to surrounding restaurants for dinner. This was the second time we had eaten in the Arenal area, after having traveled to La fortuna. The closer to the hotels, the higher the price. The food, atmosphere, and service were great, but we got shafted on the way... More
