I enjoyed this restaurant more than any other one we tried in Costa Rica. We also were staying at the Tabacon Resort, but chose not to walk because it was dark and there is no sidewalk. However, a cab was only about 5 bucks. Even with cab fare to and from, the cost was less than dinner at the hotel.... More

I ate a steak at "The Palms" restaurant in Las Vegas once. This restaurants' steaks are more tender and tastier than any place I ever ate at. I had the onion steak. My kids had the garlic steak. My kids and I agree this was the best steaks we ever ate. Tonight was our last night in Costa Rica and... More

We just had take out from this restaurant. We are staying at Tabacon Resort and walked to the restaurant ( about ten minutes ) . The food at this restaurant is so much better than the buffet and restaurants at Tabacon. The restaurants at Tabacon are very expensive. Save yourself alot of money and walk to this place.

Excellent local cuisine. Friendly service. Spotless outdoor dining. Right at the volcano's base. Beautiful views.

We had a wonderful lunch here! Grilled chicken with onions, Tico rice and veggies. We also enjoyed our jugo de pina. The best meal we had during 17 days in Costa Rica - hands down. We loved it so much, we went back on our way to the next town on our itinerary. The waiter was very nice and helpful.... More

I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. We ate at a bunch of different places in the Arenal area and this place was by far the best. We had the jalapeno steak and it was unlike anything I've ever had before! Extremely flavorful main entree and the side salad was delicious as well! The open air atmosphere is enjoyable in the... The food was unbelievably good! We ordered the house specialty steak and the jalapeno steak. The cut of meat was high quality and cooked to perfection. The sauce was flavorful and even the sides were made to impress. Definitely a hidden gem if you are looking for great food and a casual atmosphere. Great for a group of friends or... More

The server was incredibly helpful, sweet, and funny!! so refreshing. We had walked into the restaurant with coconut water in actual coconuts (they sell them on the side of the road-YUM, good for hangovers) and were trying to pick peices off to eat and he brought them into the back and opened them for us AND brought spoons so we... The concierge at our hotel recommended this hidden treasure to us and we were so pleased with the food and service that we returned the next night. The server was incredibly helpful and very friendly, and so was the owner. He recommended the steak and the parmesan chicken, and both were exceptional. Can't say enough good things! When we return... More

Thank you to Cascajo's de Arenal for the delicious dinner and pleasant atmosphere. Our girls (ages 8 and 11) each ordered milkshakes, banana and strawberry, which I ended up tasting and I have to say, they were the best I'd ever had! This restaurant was a welcome change from the more touristy places we saw in La Fortuna and was... More
