Great place to stop for lunch

We stopped in here on our way from Tamarindo to Tenorio, as we wanted to also visit the nearby Las Pumas animal rescue center. Food was quite good, but a bit pricey. Service was pleasant but a bit indifferent. View is lovely, on the banks of Rio Corobici. Bathroom facilities were good and parking... read more

Our tour group stopped here for lunch before a float down the Rio Tenorio, and most of us had the typico Costa Rican plate: meat or fish, with rice, beans, plantains, and a tortilla. It was as good as we experienced on our trip. The kids also had the option for "fajitas", which in the local dialect meant chicken nuggets... More

I ate here for lunch after I went on the white water rafting trip that left from the same location. It was a lot of fun. Spent over 2.5 hours on the river going through the rapids. When I went in early January there was mostly class 2 and class 3 rapids with the final 12 ft waterfall being a... More

We arranged this river float in advance as we were coming from Tamarindo. We could have gone boating in other locations closer to where we were staying to see monkeys and crocodiles but we wanted a quieter more natural experience. We were not disappointed. They had everything ready to go for us at the time we had arranged. Our guide... More

Part of the riverboat rafting tour we'd set up for the day, after a morning of rafting we headed to this restaurant, before carrying on to the waterfalls. Meal was fantastic. Had to preorder either chicken, salmon or burger. All meals included unlimited refills of lemonade, tasty starter salad, the main course that was more than anyone could eat, and... More

Unforgettable experience... Once on location we take a drive with staff in tow... The guides are all great, very funny and professional and make you feel at ease.. After a safety brief and instructions, it's off to the river... It was awesome... One of our girls couldn't swim and she still had a great time.. Great fun for friends and... More

After my wife and I had finished a long river rafting trip we were transported back to this restaurant to change into dry clothes and have some food. The location by the river with the tables set out in the open air overlooking the rapids was lovely. We both chose the option of fish with rice and beans. Service was... More

While in Costa Rica in February, our friends talked us into going White-water rafting. This was not something that was on my bucket-list but didn't want to be a spoil-sport, so we agreed. (My husband and I are in our 50's). We booked our tour through Hotelbeds in our resort (Allegro Papagayo) after watching a video their Rep, Marvin, had... More

We accidentally found out about this slow boat/ rafting place which turned out to be another favorite part of our trip. We arrived there to do the scenic boat trip on the Rio Tenorio. They had a lunch and boat package that we took. An awesome spread of traditional Costa Rican meal with fresh lemon juice to drink. Our tour... More

Our family of four did the Class I & II rapids river tour. It was a great 2 hour trip with some excellent guides. We saw all kinds of wildlife from monkeys to bats to many kinds of birds, crocs and iguanas. The rafting tour included a snack of fresh fruit on the river and lunch following our return. The...
