Beautiful view, perfect breakfast. I wish I could have brunch here every weekend. The breakfast plate is simple and delicious- don't miss the home baked goods.

The food was delicious. All fresh and well prepared. We stopped here to get a picture of the large wind farm on one of the surrounding mountains and ending up eating here as well, and we were very pleased.

We stopped here for lunch. The tilapia sandwich was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Great view of Lake Arenal to boot!

We stopped here for a quick coffee and to use conveniences but were so impressed by their rows of cakes ended up staying for lunch with desert! Highly recommended, particularly the cakes and the view of the lake

We stopped for lunch here only because we were hungry and it was on the way. There is a guy that keeps an eye on your car while you eat. Not sure what is going on when you first walk in. The set up is kind of strange. There was only one other group there which concerned me but it... More

On our trip from Arenal area to the west coast of CR we stopped at this place for lunch. The food was some of the best we had on the entire trip! However...the best part was the view of Lake Arenal from the back of the restaurant. The owner and cooks were great as well. So glad we made this... More

Worst meal of our entire trip. Would have rated it poor but for the great view and the delicious desserts. The chicken with salad was terrible; thin, dry and tough as shoe leather, and horribly seasoned, it "repeated" for hours. Turkey sandwich made with turkey loaf-style cold cut (tasted better without the turkey). Were hungry so we ate it. Big... More

We stopped by at Cafe y Macadamia during our trip around Lake Arenal. It was a good decision. A great spot, with beautiful view over the lake, good cappuccino and espresso and homebaked cake. Also bought some local coffee and souvenir here. The people running this place were great, friendly and willing to help.

Beautiful views, fantastic desserts and kick-butt coffee and lattes! Super friendly staff and Marco the owner is incredibly gracious! He took lots of time with us and encouraged us to sit for a moment (Pura Vida!) and enjoy! Very glad that we did. They grow macadamia nuts here!!! For real and you'll find them in the desserts that they make... More

It's small and slightly out of the way on your trip to or from Arenal, but Marco, the proprietor, makes everything worth it. He speaks both English and Spanish (his English is very good) and greets you as you enter, making sure you have everything you need. His staff watches your car while you are in, and he sells both...
