The ice cream and ice cream shakes were very good, the chocolates were ok and lacking in flavor of what they were supposed to be... the rum hardly tasted like rum, same went for 2 other kinds that we tried. Maybe I am a chocolate snob, but this is not a belgian chocolatier.

My husband and I had an amazing time learning to make chocolates in this cute cafe in La Fortuna. We met with the owners, Esteban and Jessica, who actually grow the cocoa beans and make truly artisan chocolate from scratch. You will also get to taste the hot chocolate as well. For only $25 per person, you will get to... More

Delicious artisanal chocolates made with interesting local ingredients. Have some helado (ice-cream) and walk around the town square. Super Charming.

Chocolate is created by owner down to the roasting of cocoa beans. They have red wine, dark beer, liquor, tropical fruit milk and dark chocolates. The ice cream is a great compliment to a warm day with both traditional and tropical flavors. Great service and very personable.

The small chocolate store and cafe was nice to find, we met the owners who were a nice young couple who really take there business seriously. the things they make by hand is wonderful. I want to go back and learn how to make chocolate from them soon.

After hike down to and up from the Waterfalls we drove into La Fortuna for lunch. Afterwards walked around the city, through the park and spotted the Chocolateria. Stopped in for some ice cream which was tasty and refreshing from the heat. Very pleasant young man working the counter. Sat in the park to eat ice cream and returned to... More

I had a platter breakfast here one morning. The bread was absolutely delicious though the soft boiled eggs were a little too softly boiled and the cheese and meat could have come straight from a deli package- the meat was unidentifiable. The bread was so delicious though, that I would recommend it. I ate the bread and nutella and that... More
