I went there with 2 of my friends one night, because one of them is a vegetarian. The restaurant is not on the main strip so it was kinda hard to find. We were there on a week night and it was dead, as in, there were no customers. Anyways, the owner saw us and he turned on the lights.... More

Sad but true...we took our families...all vegetarians... the food is NOT eatable. I repeat - THE FOOD IS NOT EATABLE. Gouged us on price. Wish it wasn't true-but in all honesty don't EVEN try it. Dirty. Nasty. We tried to feed it to the many animals that roamed the restaurant- but none would touch it. There are SO many fantastic... More

We drove around in circles trying to find the Tomato and gave up. The next day we tried again and finally found it. The food was nothing special and the owner, an expat American, seems disinterested in running a restaurant. When we told him about our quest to find his place he said the signs are confusing and will have... More

Gonna have to admit it was late and I did not eat here. Stumbled on this place and dropped in. Had a little healthy beverage, hung in the cool atmosphere and chatted it up with the owner. This is worth hunting down and I added a map to make it easier for the folks that want a slice of something... More

Over all the food was excelent. We were staying at the hotel there called Los Tres Gatos, which included all are meals. That can be risky sometimes, but at this place it was very good. The cooking was all done to order. Not a fast food place, but that did not matter as we had time on our side as... More

after we got there we were ready for a good meal, and we got one. The place is basic vegeterian, and I ordered a suffed bell pepper that was very tasty and drank a lemonade with ginger root. The owner Barry spent so time talking with us and giving us a tip about a river, that we later went to.... More

It was heven sent, a vegetarian cafe, in the land of chicken rice and beans, During my stay, I ate Salads, Burritos, soy burgers, stir fried vegetables, and it was all good. The owners were eager to give me a good meal, and they did. The place was really cool, if you are in Fortuna, you must go.

After having almost everyday Pico Gallo we were desperate for eating vegetables and clean food. The Flying Tomato had exactly what we were looking for. Delicious homemade soups, Veggieburgers, salads, juices....just a big variety of tasty and fresh made vegetarian dishes. It´s not easy to find since it is not on the mainroad but definitely worth to look for it.
