Nice experience

It's a lot like having food at your friend's house. Extremely casual. Nice owner. I had a salad, Tamarindo, and vegan ceviche. It was all fine and we enjoyed our experience and playing with the dogs and cats.

I have insisted on visiting the place because of its "Vegetarian Experience" 1. Would not trust the Vegetarian classification as they serve Bacon (the real thing). As far as my memory serve me its not a vegetable...... may be the hog was grass fed...... 2. The Experience was defrosted pizza. yes you read right. We ordered pizza and it was... More

We were so happy we found this place! We ate three nights in a row in the Flying Tomato and were never disappointed. What a relief after the nauseating, greasy food without any vegetables in other restaurants! I think we had all the items on the menu, which were without exception well prepared and inventive. Our host was very welcoming,... More

We were looking for a vegeterian place in Costa Rica . This is the worst experience we ever had. This is not a restaurant. This guy is running a "restaurant" in his HOUSE!!! It's filthy, and just out of respect we ordered pizza. It's not even a pizza. It's those lunchables that u get in the store and put in... More

Place was really easy to find. Very laid back home environment with cat ornaments and kids toys strewn all around. My partner and I both ate soy burgers, was okay, a little below average veggie food. Tamarind juice was nice but a little over-priced. The guy running the place was a bit high and as such service was laid-back but... More

Loved this cute little restaurant hidden in La Fortuna. The cat theme was my favorite, as I love cats. Cat decor everywhere. Great vegetarian food. I had the curry vegetables and my friend had the vegetarian burrito. They have soy meats, as well. Try the tamarindo juice!

When we walked up to the restaurant there was a couple already dining at this one table establishment. The owner was happily chatting with a man about fishing. As someone who respects all life, this was a bit of a downer/unexpected at a vegetarian restaurant. A second table was pulled out of a shamble of stuff, chairs were rounded up... More

First of all it took us so long to find the place that we didn't have time to eat there. But when we did arrive, there was no welcome and nobody anxious to serve us. Someone finally came out but the place hardly looked like a restaurant. We ended up not eating there for more than one reason.

My gf and I visited a day or two after New Years. We are no strangers to vegetarian, vegan or raw food and she wanted to find this place as it was the only "listed" restaurant of the type we could find in La Fortuna. We were staying very close in a good hotel, so we decided to wander down... More

the hamburgers were awesome. but you must try the pizza.. we stayed and slept in la fortuna for about 5 days. and is it all types of other restaurants. this guy beats everybody's prices for vegetarian food. as a matter of fact I think he's the only budgetary restaurant in that town. you must go try it.
