these guys just keep getting better! I have been eating at Kappa for almost 2 years and I have a an amazing meal every time - few restaurant are so consistent with the quality of product and service. They have added a couple of new things to the menu and even if you are like me and eat there frequently,... More

I went back a couple times just for the Miso soup alone. Service was a little slow simply because they made everything (including the soup) from scratch!

Located close to the Parque Central. Very clean. Wonderful staff (especially the beautiful young señorita who helped me out every night). They offer a special of four rolls (forty pieces) for $28.99. If you like good, quality sushi (maybe not so much nigiri but definitely rolls), this is your place...

I live here in Fortuna, & I always look forward to visiting Kappa. I moved here from the U.S. Where we had lots of sushi restaurants. Kappa is just as good, & better than many of the places I've visited in the states. I've never been disappointed with the food, or the service. A gem of a restaurant. So happy... More

Like almost everything else in La Fortuna, this restaurant was somewhat over-priced. The sushi was definitely quite good. The decor was done nicely with a modern touch. The service was good.

If you are from a "sushi" town, going to a sushi restaurant in the mountains is probably not the best choice. That said, this place definitely had good food. I would not order the sashimi, but the rolls were delicious, and the service fantastic. Also the view of the volcano from the outdoor tables was great.

Small place on a side street, somewhat hard to find. Very, very slow service on a weekday although we were the only customers. Limited choice of rolls -- those we tried were good, not great. Choice between the small, nondescript room and a table on the sidewalk where the smell of a nearby fuel tank was difficult to ignore. Not... More

I want to thank the great opportunity you gave us to serve you. If your food slow to get to your table you usually ask my sincere apologies if more than 4 rolls takes 20 or 30 minutes. Possibly it was due during the weekend we moved to this new place, but I repeat my apology is not common to... More
