This is a very nice store with a variety of local items which make great souvenirs and gifts. We loved the wood especially.

It seemed a no brainer to order Hawiian Pizza if I was doing pizza, good call. The size of my mediumwas a large in the states. It had great crust, sauce, cheese and topping. It also made a great breakfast the next day.
On this trip we've had lots of casado, but this was probably the best and great service. In addition to the rice and beans and meat, they also included yummy potatoes and a slice of cheese with the salad (that had lots of cilantro...which I like but the wife hates). No matter, she voted hands down the best casado in...

Highly recommended for well made Costa Rican food. The best Arroz con Pollo or Arroz con Camarones I've had in Costa Rica. The ceviche, guacamole, and black bean dip were also very tasty.
We had the opportunity to eat here twice. The service was prompt and helpful - the small cajetas de coco after dinner were a nice touch; the...

I ate pasta here last week. I wish that I could remember the name of my dish. This seems to be a popular handout spot. The taxi drivers recommend this place to tourists. The waiter was nice. Average restaurant.
Our hotel recommended this one after we asked about Don Rufino's (which he said was good but expensive). This was such a good alternative. Over the course of two meals we had the shrimp w/ rice (best I had during our trip), pizza, salad, casado and ceviche. My fiance ate ceviche everywhere we went and this was among the best....

When we first came upon the restaurant it did not look like anything special. Much to our surprise, it was actually a very nice restaurant. The service was excellent, the waiter was super nice and helpful, and the food was great for the prices. There were plenty of options to choose from (not just comida tipica), I got a steak...

We asked a shop keeper where we should have lunch and he recommended El Jardin. There was no one in the place and we got confused over the menu and were with tired and finicky kids, so the first visit we just ordered sangria and frescas. The sangria was excellent, and the waitress confirmed they did serve calamari, though we...

Ate here twice! Seabass ceviche was so good! First time I had a fish traditional plate and Scotty had the steak traditional plate. Both very good! Had around 4 drinks each appetizer and traditional plate and our bill was around $60 pretty awesome! Second time we had the chips with salsa and guacamole plantain chips were on the dry side....

I cook for a living in nyc. This was much better than average CR food. Its welcoming to tourists but not "for" tourists. Beef was leaner than American beef but well cooked to temp. we were the only non cr in evidence @ 8 on a Friday. very happy.
