Very high on a hill! The road massage was intense! Once you are there it is worth it.. They went out of their way to accommodate a party of 10. The food was very good, good wine, good friends, good service...

We just got back from Costa Rica last night and the first thing I planned to do is share my thoughts about Benedictus. All around this place was absolutely excellent. Beautiful view, great small and quaint setup, friendly and welcoming employees and the food was incredible. We got the ceviche, combo platter (incl. variety of pasteurized meats and vegetables) and... More

It was delicious the steak was so juice and perfect cooked, the view was incredible so sooo beautiful. The service was excellent, there were 2 waiters oscar and jose they were so friendly that make you feel like you are in some friend's house having luch. My only concern was the driveway was a little bit far, but really worth... More

We made 7 p.m. reservation, so we didn’t get a chance to see the views. For an appetizer we had – ceviche – was the only disappointment of the night. I wouldn’t recommend it, however, the steaks – OMG, and this OMG is from NYC girl, who has been in many top steak houses. Tender and cooked to perfection! A... More

Tripadvisor never fails....what a wondeful steak house. The view could have been amazing had the weather cooperated but our dinner was delicious. Plan to arrive for dinner, early so you don't miss the view (5:30 - 5:45). The driveway is very steep and about 1/2 mile long, but it is well worth the trip. Our servers, Jose and Oscar were... More

Happend to find this place on Trip Advisor while we were looking for a good meal near Arenal Volcano, and we were very happy that we made it there for lunch. There are signs guiding you there right across the road from Volcano Lodge hotel, so just follow them up the hill. Once there, you'll see that the house that... More

Absolutely incredible! It's a tough road to get there, but well worth it! It's a small house with a great view of the city, and 5 star food, both meat and veggie. Incredibly intimate and romantic.

The place was a bit interesting to get to as there is quite a climb up a steep road to get here. We had read on tripadvisor that it's busy at night so we went for lunch around 1pm. We were the only ones there, so it seemed a bit weird at first, but we felt very welcomed immediately. The... More

This place is great! It is small and intimate with only a few tables. We called for a reservation to make sure we got a spot. We stayed at Arenal Springs resort and our driver from the hotel knew exactly where to take us! Be prepared, the roads are bad! We shared a bottle of their organic wine.. YUM! very... More

The steaks served are from cattle raised on the farm where the restaurant is located. Goats and lamb are raised as well. The texture and tenderness was surprising for range beef and the salads and veggies are organically grown. Views are terrific and you get an our of the way experience close to Fortuna. Owner is improving the road, which... More
