Read the review on ta, and thought this would be a great spot for a romantic dinner for my fiancé and I to enjoy our incredible trip to Costa Rica and share a nice meal. Wow I couldn't have been more disappointed! We arrived at 5pm, early for dinner and there were a couple of other parties seated. We were... More

We loved the steep drive up the mountain to Benedictus, and the views from the restaurant were superb. Our food was really good--we would recommend the Costa Rican fare with beef. Very tasty. This was one of our favorite spots for sure.

Fantastic location. The drive up in the dark was slightly intense (steep, narrow dirt and concrete road) and the staff were very friendly. The view out even in the dark over the town was great. I don't recognise the atmosphere as being morose at all - lots of the tables seemed to be chatting with other tables and swapping travelling... More

I had read the great reviews in tripadvisor, but we decided to take a chance and show up without a reservation - this after after ziplining and working up an appitite (around 5PM). First of all you need a good 4x4 to get up the hill- but the view and experience is well worth it. I highly suggest the you... More

My boyfriend and I went here for an early dinner on a Tuesday evening. Everything - the food, atmosphere, service, and view - was amazing. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Benedictus Steak, which has to be among the best steaks I've ever eaten. It had peppers and onions on top, and a good salad on the side. The... More

Staying at Volcano Lodge, we went over for lunch, walking. We were really sweaty at the top but no one cared. While I am sure it's romantic at night the view is beautiful during the day and the resto is quiet. I prefer this when a place is small instead of sitting close to other diners. We ordered the meat... More

Located on the mountainside with amazing views (but bumpy ride up a dirt road), the building is beautiful inside and out. The food was good and fresh, but what made us return for a second night in a row was the caring and personal service from the two servers, Jose and Oscar. They acted like it was their restaurant and... More

I usually don't write reviews on Trip Advisor, but my experience here was so different than current reviews thought I had to send out a little different perspective. I will admit that my wife and I totally disagreed on the experience here as she was much more impressed. The service and people were very nice. We had reservations so no... More

Food was great. Coffee service was lovely and tasted just as much. However, should have arrived at around same time as dessert. House Ceviche was best I've had anywhere. Wife had a salad with fresh avocado that melted in your mouth, fantastic. Surf and Turf was well prepared and tasted great. Wife had the Blackberry Chicken, yum....One of my girls... More
