During our 4 day stay in arenal we came across Benedictus. We thought we would walk there as we were staying at hotel kokoro. When we got to the bottom of the hill and saw a long walk up hill we almost turned back but we stuck at it and it was the best decision we made food wise in... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Volcano lodge across the street from Benedictus. We had just hiked for 8 hours and returned to the hotel only to decide we didn't want to eat at the hotel. We decided to walk and find somewhere to eat. We found the sign for Benedictus but were a bit confused as we began... More

My wife and I ate here during our vacation to arenal. It is an all organic restaurant, and they raise the cattle used for their steaks themselves. They are literally outside the restaurant, grazing. Brings a whole new meaning to farm-to-table dining. The meal itself was fantastic. Meat was tender and marinated perfectly. They also make their own bread in-house,... More

We heard that Benedictus Organics was one of the best places to enjoy a meal in Costa Rica. Well they were right. It is very quaint with an incredible view!!! I suggest arriving there before dusk so that you can enjoy the view. The food is all organic and everything is grown and raised on the grounds. My husband ordered... More

Loved the fact they used organic vegatables and free range meats. The view was stunning over looking the mountainside. You almost felt like you were having dinner in someone's home. Very warm and cozy. The drive up to the restaurant is an adventure in itself...hard to believe there is a place to eat bak this long dark raod. Generous portion... More

The drive up was a little scary but totally worth it. The food was great, I had the best shrimp and rice ever! My friends got steaks and loved those too. The bread was so tasty and homemade. Best part is there is a dessert that they lite on fire and bring to the table what's better then that. They... More

We tried several restaurants for dinner but were disappointed as most had mediocre food. We had our best meal date in CR at this restaurant. The drive is a little difficult at night and unfortunately we arrived after dark so we missed out on any view of the volcano, but the food was delicious.

As this was rated 3rd best in Tripadvisor we called the restaurant for a reservation. There was no answer. We however drove up to it on a badly paved road in darkness. The parking area was not lit and it was difficult to park. We were greeted by a shabbily dressed guy. He asked whether we had a reservation and... More

We were searching for a special place to have dinner to celebrate our friends birthday We were staying across the street at the Hotel Manoa (which is fabulous!!) and saw the sign for Benedictus and decided to pre-check it out. Dont let the crummy road dissuade you. The restaurant is situated on a hill side with a great view on... More
