More than the food, this place is so unique and so delightful that it will be one of the most memorable meals ever. We drove up there during the day to make reservations (since we were the last reservation of the day to which we came quite late, the prior reservation was a good idea, for without it the kitchen... WOW,what a cool find. The road is not so bad, we did it in a rain storm, but is one lane. The view would have been terrific had it not been cloudy. The waiter was cool, he broke out in salsa dancing, lol. I had blackberry chicken, and the honey had Filet , his was good. The veggies were awesome.... More

The steak was fabulous! The atmosphere very calm with nice music and the views from the high hill. The staff very nice and trying to arrange things as possible (travelling with a three years old boy is not always easy). And the house where the restaurant is it is just a dream. Very nice place. I highly recommend it.

Lovely warm and intimate atmosphere combined with excellent and well presented fare. The scenic drive to the restaurant is a fitting beginning to the dining experience.

Don't go if you don't have a reservation. They took our party of 11, put us on the porch and it took over an hour to get a bottle of wine.

A cute hidden gem atop a hill with gorgeous views that served a delicious garlic tilapia that just melted in my mouth!:) Very friendly wait staff - definitely recommended!

We ended a horseback riding tour at Benedictus and loved the atmosphere so much that we made a dinner reservation for the same night. Even though the sun had set, the view was still beautiful. The food is great and we appreciated that it was raised on the property organically. Our server was very friendly and gave us excellent service.

Tough drive up the hill to this place, but a great view. Food was great and not as pricey as Don Rufinos. I loved my lamb and didn't pay an arm and a leg. Splurged on a Chilean Syrah that was the best wine we had in Costa Rica. Good news and bad news with the credit card fiasco! Good... More

The food is not much. Any soda has better or equaly good food for much less. I suppose the view must be great, but once the sun is down its point in going there at all. Overpriced.

We heard about Benedictus from some of our tour guides - liked that it's an organic restaurant. Our hotel Nayara was pretty close to the restaurant (thought could even walk - thankfully we didn't since once you turn into the entrance, it's quite a drive up a very narrow and bumpy road), I got the tilapia with avocado which was...
