Great fried fish!

I usually don't eat fried foods, but this wasn't greasy. The entire fish was fried & brought to the table whole & the taste was incredible. The fruit drink was tasty. The service was good.

This restaurant is just off the main drag and a little quieter than some of the places on the square. They have great rice and chicken! I highly recommend a stop in this restaurant

Local Tico food in a comfortable, casual open to the street small restaurant. The service was slow on one of the three times we ate there and the food was all right each time. The only reason we ate their three times was because the place we stayed (Monte Real Hotel) offered their free breakfast there. The location is close... More

Clean, unassuming, and very reasonably priced, we visited on our honeymoon and we're glad we went in for dinner. 2 sodas and entrees, less than $20. Good quality food, generous portions, tasty meals. Glad that we stopped in. Note: they don't serve alcohol but you can BYO

Costa Rica is so touristy that its hard to even tell which locals aren't serving up junk to get tourist money. We ate at a lot of Sodas and by far the best one was El Rio. Fresh ingredients with flavor that actually suggested some technique in their cooking methods. It was very clean and the service was great. If... More

Soda El Rio was awesome! They do not serve beer but no worries! The waiter simply told us we could go around the corner to the store, buy beer, and bring it to the restaurant. The Arroz Con Pollo was excellent!

We ate here for breakfast and dinner! The food was great and reasonably priced and we liked the friendly owner and staff, especially our waiter - Julmar. This is a local soda, nothing fancy and they do not serve alcohol but you are free to bring in your own beer or wine. We ate the typical Costa Rican plates -... More

Best Arroz con Leche (Rice pudding) E-V-E-R! Enjoyed the rice and beans here. Rice and Chicken (Arroz con Pollo) is shaped like a cone and looks like a little volcano on your plate!

I ordered the plate of the day. It came with "cold slaw", tomato beef and rice and black beans. Include in the 2500C(about USD5) price is lemonade.
