I cam here with my husband as this was one of the Soda's recommended. The staff was really nice. The food was really good and priced better than our hotel so we were very pleased.

This was probably one of my best meals in Costa Rica. I had the comida typical and my bf went for teh cheeseburger- they add ham to it. My meal was delicious!!!It all came to $8 which was another bonus!

Friendly quick service. Large portions at reasonable prices right in downtown La Fortuna. Tried the beef and seafood caseros.

Came here on recommendation from a local store owner. Perfect gem in La Fortuna! The food was delicious, the staff (owners) so overwhelmingly (but still honestly) friendly that we couldn't stop talking about it over dinner. They really pulled a leg for us! And the place got crowded our the evening from locals as well as foreigners. A nice mix... More

This Soda is nothing special and sure not worth the great ratings it becomes on tripadvisor. The Casado was below average, the House Salad a joke.

Our family of four ate here and we all loved it. My husband said his fish special was one of the best meals he had the whole trip. The waitress did not speak English and we do not speak Spanish well, however we were able to communicate fine and had a really good and cheap meal here. The waitress was... More

We ended up eating here twice, both times ordering casados. Between us we tried the chicken, fish, pork chop and pork. The casados were huge and filling with more variety than we had at other sodas. Meat of choice was served with black beans, rice, mashed yucca, a beet and egg salad, picadillo (like a vegetable and meat hash), green... More

We staid in La Forntuna for 7 days. We at at several places but this is the only place we went to more than once. Many of the other places in town were much more expensive and gave you a lot less. At Viquez the plate sizes were big and the prices were low. They also give you a really... More

We were looking for a local and not touristic place to eat. They suggested us from the hotel this Soda. The food was tasty, but not exceptional. One of the dishes was really really good (some Costa Rica Typical Tenderloin), the rest were ok. We were happy to try the local cuisine. We saw many tourists there, although we also... More
