So Damn Good (get it?)

I was reading some other reviews, and some people were complaining about the cafeteria style. Wile there is ready-made food, you can get fresh made too! Don't let the tiny buffet turn you off! We came for brekfast. As many places in Costa Rica, it was spotless. The friendly waitress, who somehow... read more

Maria, the owner, is incredibly kind and goes out of her way to make your dinner delicious and memorable. Big variety of choices on the menu, however I'd stick with a fresh fruit shake and a casado! Thank you for this Costa Rican dining experience!

This is a great local cheap eats. The food was tasty and all of us enjoyed our meals. The owner is very friendly and gave us free desert. Would eat there again.

The food was excellent and we loved eating where the locals eat! I wish I could remember the owner's name because she was very friendly and welcoming even though it was VERY busy!!

We went here on the recommendation from our hostel. We loved it so much we went back two days later! The food is traditional Tico food and HUGE portions. Our waitress was very nice - she even remembered us the second time we went.

We went to this place after following the reviews online and they were right- super affordable and tasty food! The owner took her time to shake our hands and really connect one on one with us- really personable. Would definitely Go back!

This restaurant serves a delicious tipico meal, which comes with many tasty sides. The food was great and the servers were very friendly. The plates are large and filling for a very low price. We also tried the coconut batida, which really hit the spot on a hot evening. They also provided a small cup of delicious rice pudding for... More

We went here on the advice of our driver and then noticed it was in lonely planet. Regardless, it was very good. The kids liked the food. We all had casado, our boys had chicken, my husband and I fish. It was all very good and the service was great.

We visited this soda on a Friday night around 9pm. Four of us had the sea bass casada plate, and one had the tenderloin. The four sea bass casada plates were all served with different sides - the usual for a typical : rice, black beans, plantain, and a salad, but the salads were all different. We also got mashed... Great casado, customer service and value. One obtains a variety of foods on one plate to try that is quintessential Costa Rican. The sea bass is to die for.
