We enjoyed our food and the service. They made a mistake in my son's order, but replaced it with the correct dish. This made my son have to wait extra long and his food came when we were done with ours. But, mistakes happen and it was well taken care of.

Went here for dinner one night during our stay in the area. It came highly recommended by the staff at our hotel, but didn't live up to their praises. We had the tilapia special, which was the best of all the items we ordered. It was steamed, stuffed with cheese, tomatoes, and garlic. The ceviche was okay, as was the... More

The food's pretty good here, but I think it's probably the presentation that wins more accolades: certain dishes come out on large, flaming platters. It's cool and fun. My Arroz con Pollo was a very large helping, was served on a regular plate, and tasted more like a Chinese dish than a Latin one. The stuffed tilapia was deemed "a... More

Neat little nook in what appears to be an alley. Food was great, we had burger, sandwich and steak...all great!

Excellent food, staff and service. This place was only a $12.00 taxi ride from our resort and was recommended by one of our tour guides. The taxi driver said it was excellent as well when we told him where we were going. They did not steer us wrong.

The food here is very good but the service left something to be desired. I am on a gluten free diet so I asked the waiter (in english and spanish) to make sure my fish was not fried in wheat flour. When my meal arrived it was coated with flour so I had to request a replacement meal. It took... More

We live in Costa Rica and on occasion visit the Arenal area. Normally we stay at Tabacon but this time we received a free night stay at Las Colinas in the center of La Fortuna. Nene's was a recommendation by the hotel, within walking distance, and we were pleased with the food and service. Very pleasant ambience, and I say... More

The taxi driver who took us from the Arenal national park to La Fortuna waterfall made is dinner recommendation and he was spot on. Another travel guide had warned us to eat ceviche in CR at our own peril, but I tried it here based on his recommend and my goodness was it good. Best I ate in CR. Beef... More

This was recommended to us by our tour guide. We enjoyed it. It was the only local place we at at in La Fortuna. Very authentic. We had ceviche and chicken and rice. Very generous portions for very reasonable prices.
