Very good experience here.

Despite being a little more pricey then some other restaurants in the area the food here is very good and the atmosphere is more upscale. A very nice place.

We had a good steak lunch accompanied by a savory salad and fresh pasta. The food was beautifully plated and elegantly served by a most courteous and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our fine and fancy meal in quaint La Fortuna.

I had this chicken baked in leaves, with a marinade of coffee, coco, and I think Tarragon. It was pretty delicious, reminiscent of a light mole sauce. The restaurant seems to cater to mostly tourists, so the menu is pretty diverse. I'd recommend it to try something different.

Great food in this place, a little bit more expensive than others in the area possibly, but the cooking standard and produce are well worth it. Interesting menu, the fish dishes were great as was the steak and grandmas chicken. Nice inexpensive wine list too. Great service, all in all a very good restaurant.

We were on a short vacation and went for dinner with the kids. Rhe service is very amicable and the food is delicious. You have to try the " Crema de Pejibaye", a real costa rican treat.

This was an average dining experience. Nothing special. It was suggested to us as a nice dinner and compared to the other very casual places in La Fortuna that is probably right that it is a little fancier (which is relative in La Fortuna). But the food is relatively expensive and we left disappointed. It did not seem to have... More

We had dinner here, two adults and two teens. Service was very good, food was excellent (especially the steaks and the zarzuela de mariscos, and the desserts). It's one of the higher end restaurants in La Fortuna, nice inside but on the main street so plenty of opportunity to soak in the energy of the town.

We stopped in for a nice dinner on one night of our trip. The price is up there but well worth it. We each tried a recommended dinner plate and they didn't disappoint. I would definitely go back.

Large portions, cheap and delicious fruit smoothies, and nice waitstaff. This place had a nice ambiance. Food came quickly.l, and we didn't have to wait to be seated.

I thought we had some great steaks in America, but the steak I had at Don Ruffino was on par (if not better) than any prime steak house I have been to in the US. There was just something about the local, grass fed beef that was so delicious with melt in your moth buttery flavor. My wife got the... More
