Kind of very very touristy, staff not too friendly, meal was 2x as much as a local "soda" and really not that good. Kind of a depressing place- and empty. It was recommended to us but.. I would pass!

A hamburger for $14.00 that was average at best. They were suppose to be a typical Costa Rican restaurant so that is why we chose to eat here. The menu had many choices but the prices were high. It was a clean restaurant but I did not see the value.

La Choza was recommended to me by a friend who had been in CR earlier in the year. Lots of variety on the menu there is something for everyone. The staff was attentive. Plenty of food for the price, located on the main road easy to find.

One of the 3 best meals I had in 12 days in CR; my daughter really enjoyed her "rice volcano." We were seated quickly and served promptly. There was plenty of food. The setting is informal (picnic tables), open-air and situated next to a gift shop and "adventure activities" office.

We enjoyed a good meal-steaks, chicken, eggs, fries, rice/beans. Roasted chicken is a specialty, a bit pricier than expected; open air ambiance and good travel advice available. Very attentive staff. Easily located on the main road just north of the church.

This place was highly recommended by several of the hotel concierges at our hotel. I can tell you that when I arrived it looked really good, open air, lots of table, clean, etc.. We sat down and it took awhile for someone to come over - there were only 5 other tables occupied at the time. I ordered the bbq... More

Close to our Bed & Breakfast and the food was good and promptly served. Tour services were located inside the restaurant.

Originally, we decided to eat at La Choza de Laurel in La Fortuna, Costa Rica because of the higher ratings and reviews of this restaurant. Some of these reviews rated this restaurant to have both excellent food and ratings; however, we found nothing special with this place. The open-aired atmosphere is fairly nice when there are no bugs in the... More
