Great local food at a higher than expected price point

The food is great and this place was recommended by several locals as a place to get good, local food. It did not disappoint in that department. The food was good and to our expectations. However, we did not order anything "exotic". Just some typical rice dishes and samplers. The price is what... read more

Had 'typical' Costa Rican lunch. Was delicious and well prepared. Dining room and bathrooms very clean. Wanted to eat there again but didn't have time.

Had a great dinner for 4 here. They roast those amazing chickens all day you can't help it but stop in for a meal. We ordered the whole chicken and it came with wraps and garnishes. It was reasonably priced and we had more than enough to feed the 4 of us. The expensive portion of the meal was the... More

Fantastic food, very authentic and priced much more reasonably than the restaurants at the nearby resorts. My children loved the virgin piña coladas served in a whole pineapple and the banana split was unbelievable!

The volcano rice is a must have! The prices are very reasonable and you get more food than you can eat!

Our hotel recommended this place. Good atmosphere and local cuisine. Had the plantain nachos which were amazing! Didn't try anything else as we weren't too hungry, but the food at the other tables looked good and everyone seemed happy. They grind and brew coffee at your table which was a nice touch.

Delicious local food, in a pleasant open air setting. We are so glad we followed the recommendation of one of our hotel staff
