Good food and decent atmosphere

This is a solid choice for a meal in La Fortuna. The food is decent and reasonably priced. My husband and I split the chicken "fajita like" dinner, which included corn tortillas, guacamole and salsa. It was definitely enough for two. The atmosphere is just ok. We liked sitting outside at Que... read more

This food is typical Costa Rican, very good experience for the traveler. Atmosphere is historic for the area, with servers in typical historic dress...prices are quite fair and the quality of food is very good.

Food and drinks were awesome and seasoned just right! watch out for the spicy pickled veggies they put on the table-yowza!

Good place for traditional food. But i think there are other smaller Soda's that have just as good of food for less. It's uber touristy. All the guides recommended it but i preferred other places. The food was good....but overpriced.

Food was good and decent service. Serves local Costa Rican food. Many locals eat here and enjoy it. Took the family there and had a good meal.

That was our first meal in La Fortuna. The restaurant is in town and obviously caters to tourist. We had the "bandaja campesina", it was a large tray for two, it included fried yuca, plantains, pork rinds, meat fajitas and chicken fajitas etc. it was really good. the prices were maybe just a bit lower than you would pay in... Had dinner tonight at La Choza de Laurel. One of the best meals I've eaten since we've been here. Had the special rib-eye steak with was enough for both my son and I, had great veggie skewer with properly cooked veggies (neither soggy nor raw) and fried yuca. Loved this place - would definitely eat here again.

This restaurant was suggested by front desk people at our resort. Although we had to wait for few minutes to get our food, the food was really good. You have to try Pina Colada here. They decorate a pineapple soo good.. and everything was fresh.. we went back here again :) If you want to try typical Costa rica food,... More

I like Cuban food and was very satisfied with our dinner at LaChosa. Our waitress was very helpful and provided excellent service. We got more food than we could eat and it was very good.

Was recommended this place by some local guides. It didn't disappoint! Being a Cuban American, I know Latin food. The plantanos were to die for! We even ordered an extra side. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made for a nice experience!
