My boyfriend and i stopped into this place after reading some of the ttip advisor reviews. I was very dissapointed. It seemed alot like a chain fast food resturaunt than anything. The intersection its situated on was soo busy that we could hardly talk or hear one another. Sadly, we just ended up ordering the patacones and leaving. They were... More

This was our first meal when we arrived in Costa Rica based on a recommendation from staff at our B&B. We were exhausted from travel and ordered chicken with rice and a plantain appetizer and guacamole. Our main meals (chicken and rice) were just ok, but the guac and plantain app was VERY good! I would definitely go back here... More

The place is clean and the service is great. While the food is not terrible, it's not great - very greasy and a limited selection of overcooked seafood. Would not go here again.

The service was good, the food was competent, the setting was authentic. This is not primarily a foreign tourist restaurant. I enjoyed it

Nothing special but the food was tasty and the prices were reasonable. This is one of the few restaurants in sleepy Alajuela that is open later at night.

Just avoid lobster in most of Costa Rica. Geez, you will get gouged at every turn if you do not. I did have lobster in the Playa Flamingo area years ago and it was reasonably priced. For other seafood in the area, I recommend you find one of the smaller, non-chain restaurants.

Yum! Went here based on the recommendation of our hotel-la rosa-and sooo happy we did! Enjoyed every bit of it-we got the ceviche with avocado and also with palm. Then also had veggies, salads, and plantain. I can't have dairy and am a super clean eater and they were more than accommodating (baked my plantain instead of frying) and super... More

Very fresh fish and good salad dominate the menu. Margaritas and beer are available. It's open air and right on the busy street, so not really romantic but quite acceptable. Service is excellent. The bill is quite tolerable, about $25 for two.

We had a very good seafood combo. Could have shared one. Huge portion. Very good. I could have just eaten more ceviche.

The Princesa Marina is located just at the end of the La Garita road in Alajuela, next to the church. You are likely to pass it on the way to Poas Volcano, it sits right in the middle of the intersection. The food is average to good but the value is excellent. Much of the food is fried and even...
