A meal for four gentlemen of a certain age and stature - nobody was going to argue with us. The Don ordered first and we took his lead - good choice. The starters and main course were tasty and filling - no room for desert. The wine and scotch options finished it off nicely - good company - good food... More

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to try DePalmas on our visit. Between the three of us, we had the Pasta DePalma, the Pepper and Sausage Pasta, and a calzone. Everything was delicious, and when the bill came we were pleasantly surprised at the value of what we had received. As we walked out to the car parked... More

Let me start by saying, I love trip advisor and generally the reviews are pretty spot on. This particular restaurant however, was ranked #1 in Tuscaloosa and in my opinion is not the case. Overall the restaurant was clean and casual. Staff was friendly and professional. The restaurant cuisine is Italian. I can not speak about the pizza, but the... More

I always start reviews with the good. Good food, lasagna special was excellent. Kids loved the pizza, and white chocolate bread pudding was excellent. Server was just ok. Friend that was with us ask for half marinara half cream sauce on her pasta. They brought her two different bowls of pasta loaded with chicken one with marinara one with cream?... More

Recently visited while on a college tour with my sister and niece. Atmosphere is charming, service is good. Our salads came out crisp on chilled plates. Appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was excellent. Entrees were a bit bland, not bad, just not inpired. We would visit again.

We like to eat here since it's one of the very few Italian places in Tuscaloosa. The food is pretty good. The major drawback for us is the noise level. If you're going with friends to visit over dinner, you will have to yell at each other to be heard. I have no idea why restaurants do this - I... More

We ate there while moving our son onto campus. The Italian restaurant serves high quality food and lots of it. I had enough for three people! Definitely we will eat there again!

Wonderful atmosphere, great food, great service. Get there early to ensure that you have a table or you will wait. Best time to go is weekdays.

At lunch they serve $7-8.5 paninis. They are a well kept secret and absolutely the best sandwiches in Tuscaloosa. A personal favorite is the caprese but after eating here with friends constantly, I've never seen someone be anything but thrilled with their sandwich. A great beer on the menu is the Orange Blossom Honey Pilsner. Delicious! Sometimes they have the local... More

DePalma's has all the elements of a fine dining experience, and then a few more elements that takes it down to just above average. Atmosphere is an attempt at classy, but the noise level takes away from that. I recognized higher-end speakers lining the walls near the ceiling. They must have been playing the "Bar Noise with Kitchen Clatter" album,... More
