Great food in an enjoyable atmosphere at a reasonable price

After a month in Italy, my husband and I agree that Tuscaloosa's own Depalma's is a treasure. Besides providing tasty food in a pleasant amosphere, Depalma's staff have always managed to be attentive without hovering over every bite. Sometimes there is a wait, but for good reason. It's worth it.

Had a late Friday night dinner at DePalma's. The wait was about 15 min. The restaurant offers a nice selection of wine and beers at the bar while guests wait. I had the house salad with Balsamic venigarette (the dressing is great!) and a Vegetarian Pizza. The pizza was really tasty and quite large. We enjoyed the food, the great... More

We visit this restaurant often and have not had a bad meal ever. My husband enjoys the carnivore lasagna when it is available. Pasta depalma is my favorite! Delicious entrees. Make sure to save room for the white chocolate bread pudding because it is worth the calories! It is sooo delicious!!! I sometimes go and get just the bread pudding.... More

I'm not a fan of cheese or dough or pasta, so I don't have pizza often, but their pizza was very good. The large is probably enough for 4 people. They have a good wine selection. It's a popular place and fills up quickly.

Four of us went on a Saturday night and were expecting a reasonably delicious meal because of the reviews. However, all entrees were really off. Sticky, bland pasta, fettuccine entree was swimming in the sauce. The lasagna was mostly cheese too hard to cut. The hostess and server were pleasant but the chef and kitchen staff bombed this night. We... More

I ate here while I was in town. Great food. Service was excellent. Didn't have to wait long. It was worth every penny.

I decided to treat myself to lunch here yesterday.... It is pricy for lunch at $24 for one person. I had the lasagna of the day which was simply delightful. The server was very attentive and did a great job. I will definitely be back.

I absolutely love Depalma's. I've been coming here for years and have loved everything I've tried from here. My favorites are the Pasta Depalma and the Depalmas Delux pizza. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The only complaint I have about this restaurant is that is apparently doesn't have the walls to absorb sound because it is always LOUD... More

We've been here before and had a nice meal. Graduation weekend was a bit of a crush and I guess the restaurant felt the same. This is the first time ever my husband sent his meal back and didn't want another. Very, very greasy, cold and not good. We decided on the pizza that was excellent.

If you are in T-town and are looking for Italian food, there is no one else around as good as DePalma's. We have been there many times and are always very pleased. Who would have thought that we would find good Italian food in Alabama:) Not only is the food wonderful, but the price is so reasonable that even my... More
