Being in a college town on a game weekend is always a challenge getting into a restaurant at a decent time without a long wait. We have driven by this Mexican restaurant many times and decided if it was not a long wait we would give it a try. Although it was crowded we were seated quickly. The menu had... More

The restaurant was dirty and in need of a deep cleaning. This was, by far, the worst Mexican food I have ever had. I eat at Mexican restaurants in just about every city I travel to, so I know my Mexican food. The chips were stale, greasy, and tasted like the grease they were cooked in was old and had... More

Went for lunch with my two children. Dining room was disgustingly dirty, pretty bad when a 9 year old boy says its gross. Waited way to long for Mexican food when it arrived my food was cold and in general not good. Up side was there was a kid working as a chip boy he was cute and very personable,... More

The chips were greasy, and when we asked for more were told that they are all like that, and the waiter would not bring more. Ordered "two margaritas on the rocks", which were served in tiny margarita style glasses. Food was good, but in comparison with all of the other Mexican restaurants in Tuscaloosa, WAY overpriced. For example, a combo... More

This is our favorite place to eat. The staff is courteous and the food is delicious. My favorite are the Taquitos

When we first started going to Pepito's, the food was great. We got take out after, as our work was close by. The first few orders were fine, but afterwards, every order had something missing or was completely wrong. Also, the quality had gone down hill. The people were always friendly and the restaurant was clean, but we quit going/ordering... More

Service very good, bar atmosphere which makes it very noisy. Food was very good, try the mesquite grilled quail, excellent! The homemade guacamole is awesome!! Can be very crowded on weekends but this is due to the great food.

The only Mexican restaurant with a grill and made to order guacamole, Pepito's offers more menu selections than any other.

Carry out available and conveniently located. I lived in Colorado for 10 years and love Mexican food. Most restaurants in the south serve "Tex-Mex". Pepito's offers the true green salsa verde(I know green and verde is redundant). Reasonably priced with usually good service.
