We went to dinner with a few friends on a Friday night. I love the atmosphere when you walk in. There is nothing else like it in Tuscaloosa. There are old movie stars hanging on the wall and live piano player that sets the mood for great food and drinks. Both the wine list and menu looks amazing. We got... More

With a name like Kozy's, I fully expected to be greeted at this Tuscaloosa restaurant by a Paul Dean clone pushing her "mama's corn bread" and an assortment of entrees alternately scattered, smothered, and covered. I simply assumed that sausage gravy would dominate. To my great delight I was mistaken. Our group of ten were greeted amiably and shown to... More

My husband and I decided to enjoy a romantic dinner for our anniversary at this recommended place. The restaurant is certainly from the Rat Pack years and has a unique personality and feel. Their cocktails are without a doubt very unique and delicious, particularly the Peach Old Fashioned drink. It was phenomenal. The sauce that accompanied the mushroom appetizer was... More

Kozy's used to be a restaurant with good atmosphere and not much else of note. We went there because it was the best fancy place in Tuscaloosa to go for a celebration. All that has changed with new ownership. The cocktails were always strong and good, but now there are some really divine specialty cocktails made by a barman who... More

Fantastic food. Truly a formal affair, yet casual enough for Tuscaloosians to attend without jacket and ties. The food was knockout. I wish I had the recipe for the fava bean and purple hull pea succotash.

Kozy's closed last year and has only recently re-opened under new management. The old Kozy's was fun, with unique ambience and atmosphere. The service was usually outstanding. The food...not so much. Oh, don't get me wrong. It wasn't terrible. It just wasn't good enough to merit the hefty price tag. It's always been "on our list" for special occasions, but... More

I have a love/hate relationship with Kozy's. The food, ambiance and service I have gotten there has always been great. However, it is quite pricey and not usually a restaurant at the top of my list when dining out. Last summer this restaurant ran a $5 martini special which was awesome. I went there more last summer than the whole... More

I previously rated this as my favorite restaurant in Tuscaloosa over the years. Recently, we went for a birthday dinner. It was a total disappointment. In two hours only one other couple same in. The restaurant was empty and yet we waited for our food for a long time. The portiins were small, but that was fine since the food... More

Not well lit exterior or parking lot. Not easy to find on a dark evening. Parking lot full of water, could hardly find dry spot to walk (had been raining). Ribeye steak ordered med, was over cooked, gray, dry, thin, tasteless. Server full of apologies and excuses: no bread, delivery didn't come, no to go container, steak wraped in foil.... More
