Very, Very among limited options in Tuscaloosa

I was not sure what to expect since I made the reservation online and Kozy's was 1 of 2 fine dining options in town. I asked for privacy due to the purpose being a business meeting and they were exceptionally accommodating. The service was pleasant and the waitress, Kayla, has a firm command of... read more

Unfortunately for me, dinner in Tuscaloosa has typically means taking my son and 6 or 7 of his friends to dinner at my expense, so we usually go cheap. However, on this night, we were only 5 people so we went to Kozy's on a Saturday night after a home game. It was surprisingly easy to get a reservation, considering... More

My husband and I had not been to Kozy's in several years and decided to give it a try when a friend came to town. We were pleasantly surprised to find the atmosphere, food and service even better than it was in the past! The servers were extremely attentive and the martinis, superb! Our party split the mushrooms as an... More

This is an underrated establishment and for selfish reasons I'd prefer it stays that way. A unique low lit setting that most certainly whisks any willing couple quite unlike most establishments today. Here you'll find a private dining experience and notice pride from service to preparation. Not only does the menu change often, Kozys boast an excellent variety of wines... More

Went to Kozy's after moving our son into his dorm on Aug. 14th. Loved, loved, loved our meal and will be going back as often as we can. We were wisely advised to try a white Pinot Noir (hadn't heard of it) and it was fantastic. It is a great place, especially for kozy kouples!!

I had heard a lot about Kozy's for several years... a very intimate place, great steaks. Our dinner club went to celebrate a birthday Saturday night. When ordering bottles of wine, the first 3 bottles were not available and had been sold out and not taken off the menu. What a disapointment! The entrees are very limited. No chicken-so I... More

DO NOT come to Tuscaloosa and miss Kozy's. I came to college here and have lived here for years...friends have talked about the "little house". They have amazing wine dinners with pairings once a month and offer a unique menu. Be sure to reserve a table on the patio in the fall, fountain, brick will make you feel like you... More

Anniversary meal. The atmosphere at Kozy's is eclectic. Hollywood history adorns the walls. This adds to the ambiance of what Kozy's is about. About the meal, I had shrimp grits and Chardonnay. My wife had the filet and a cosmopolitan. Wife said the drink was superb and the steak divine. I think that means she liked it. (I did get... More

I've been here at least six times now, and I've never had a bad meal. The food is delicious. Most recently I had the crispy duck with the Bibb salad (and even the salads are extraordinarily tasty). My fiancé had the fish and the calamari. Even though this is one of Tuscaloosa's pricier restaurants, it's the one most worth the... More

Two things you need to know about Kozys: the food is excellent and the wine and bourbon list is great. We had salads which were very good, the mushroom appetizer- also very good. The filets were tender and cooked to perfection. The scallops wonderful. The creme brûlée to die for! My only suggestion is to heat the bread. Ours was... More
