Anniversary Dinner at Kozy's

Anniversary meal. The atmosphere at Kozy's is eclectic. Hollywood history adorns the walls. This adds to the ambiance of what Kozy's is about. About the meal, I had shrimp grits and Chardonnay. My wife had the filet and a cosmopolitan. Wife said the drink was superb and the steak divine. I... read more

I've been here at least six times now, and I've never had a bad meal. The food is delicious. Most recently I had the crispy duck with the Bibb salad (and even the salads are extraordinarily tasty). My fiancé had the fish and the calamari. Even though this is one of Tuscaloosa's pricier restaurants, it's the one most worth the... More

Two things you need to know about Kozys: the food is excellent and the wine and bourbon list is great. We had salads which were very good, the mushroom appetizer- also very good. The filets were tender and cooked to perfection. The scallops wonderful. The creme brûlée to die for! My only suggestion is to heat the bread. Ours was... More

Over priced!!! The food is extreme and too expensive. In an attempt to flavor, it is over flavored. And the bill has just been too high every time we have eaten there. Nobody loved their food and for those prices you should love your food. We also said each time we left... we will never go back. It has such... More

Very unassuming from the outside and off the beaten path, but quaint and intimate inside, with piano music/big band music setting the tone. Excellent service and cocktails, with pretty good food as well. Would definitely eat here again.

Kozy's is near the Tuscaloosa VA on Loop Road, probably not familiar to those who live and work in other areas of town. It has, nevertheless, been open for many years, not so long ago reopened with new owners. They have managed to preserve its charm and reputation for fine dining and an excellent bar. The present menu is packed... More

Unfortunately, our food experience here was average, at best. Not enough servers made for less than expected service. Scallops were overcooked and rubbery. Grain was undercooked and crunchy. However, the star of the place was the bar. Classic cocktails by Devon are excellent. He is more of a mad scientist than bartender. The detail of each one is beyond the... More

Great service and fine dining in a family owned restaurant. The food is exceptional with daily specials, a creative drink menu, and a few treats on the wine menu. Of the beaten path in Tuscaloosa. Be sure to make reservations in advance especially around game day weekend. Second time we have been there and enjoyed it even more.
